@james-woodroffe Got my eye on Stephens and Tormo games both should win but depends if Stephens is interested.
-
@chris-osborne I’m out till I get junior to bed but will have a look at what’s happening later if any qualify for me.
-
@james-woodroffe Cut and run also awful standard of tennis.
Just abouts offset the loss from Tauson earlier looking more promising in the other game going on backed Juvan when she went a break down in the 1st set although she's making hard work of the 2nd

Bit late here but yeah laid Dart also if Heather takes the set will remove liability and hang for a couple of games. Laid her start of 2nd set.
Removed liability at 30-0 seen this film before.
And out Watson what a mess she is. Never stay in when girls are serving for the set and or match. Back to pretty much where I started the day. Idiot thinking Watson would be my saviour.

Just laid Dart @ 1.35 after winning 1st set. Think Heather will come back and win 2-1. As I write she's heating up now and seeing some nice green already so might lock some in.
I'm on this also used the Projected Hold Strategy with Watson in first set worked once but not 2nd time. Rebacked her at start of 2nd set. Her serve is appalling the amount of double faults in a set and a half is embarrassing
Don't trust either of them to be honest which says alot about the state of British Tennis right now the winner will be the player who makes the fewest mistakes not from good play

A pretty exhausting day on the tennis markets today so I’m chilling with a beer as I work out how best to tackle something’s going forward.
A positive is definitely still laying the first set winner I’d have been screwed today if not for that.
I’ve been giving some players a bit to much credit and backing them early or laying their opponents if I think there’s value via my research but been getting let down and crawling back early Red to start the day. I got stuck trying to close out on Gasquet this morning and went over my stop loss, not by heaps but enough to roll the eyes. I’ve also gotta remember he’s not that good and I’m best off going against him. Added to Struff not turning up this morning either and it wasn’t a great start. Added to it not being a great start by getting into scalping the Kasakstina match about 3 games in the first set to early but I got out and laid Daria after the 1st set got greedy when the Dane got back into it but again no good. Then I changed tack and things turned for me the Romanian girl Cristea, Sinner, Fucsovic and Fritz all turned their matches around from a set down but then Goffin did what he always does to me. Whenever we do a Masters 1000 we run a sweep and I always back Goffin to go deep and he always gets knocked out early and whenever I’m not working on them he seems to make deep runs. Today against the other bane of my working life Nishikori he served like my Mrs and quickly my good work was coming undone but Goffin is a brilliant return of serve and whilst he couldn’t hold Nishi couldn’t either and with a big ugly red looking at me I kept laying Nishii at 1.06, 1.09 and slowly removing red till I got out for scratch at the start of the breaker in the 2nd and overall 2.2 points green for the day session.
The night session will play by ear. -
@james-woodroffe had a similar kind of day, Stojanovic was my only winning trade, took the same approach as you. Stupidly laid schmiedlova when she took the 1st set, Boulter had chances but her forehand was all over the place.
Also did the same on Dolehide, Kuzmova had lost the last nine matches but I guess There’s a reason why Dolehide mainly plays ITF tournaments.
Onto day, the highlight looks like Kasatkina v Tauson both won tournaments this year could be a tight game depending on which version of Kasatkina turns up. Tauson came through qualifying which if she carries on in a similar way to a couple of weeks ago she won’t be having to do for much longer

Frustrating day to say the least. Backed Fucsovic down an early break in the first and he dropped the set went down a break and I got out quite Red he then I later discovered won the 2nd set and then the match got involved in the Stavjanovic match with her down a break and trailing 0-3 she then won 12 of 13 games to romp it in and make up for the Fucsovic trade. Backed Dolehide down a break and she lost the first stayed in as it was tight and 3 sets looked likely, she got blown away in the 2nd. Backed Lauren Davis when she dropped the 1st and she coasted thru the 2nd and got out at 1-1 in the 3rd. So including the morning session I just went around in circles pretty much today.

Large lay on Zvonoreva at 1.10 aiming to green up at 1.20 when match starts. Last match was a dud didn’t get involved had lunch instead.
So that didn’t quite go to plan should maybe have taken green at 1.16 in the 2nd set. Again waiting for the consolidation of the break that didn’t come. Ended up taking a hit and will look to be a bit more flexible with exit points especially in a match like that where one player was totally outclassed.

AGHHHH!! Shouldn’t have checked the Sasnovich score 6-1 in the 3rd Doh! That’s a substantial adding to the green I won’t see
-
@chris-osborne I only do when I have the house to myself mate so it’s not very often.
-
@james-woodroffe not really looked at scalping but with Alexandrova top seed in Moscow and Stephens in Mexico might be worth it.
-
@chris-osborne I hadn’t noticed that yet mate but could be a good scalping week. Ostapenko v Badosa next up for me so might have a look at that.
-
@james-woodroffe I have a small green on that game from the 2nd set.
Wta could be full of awful serving this week, highest ranked player across. Both tournaments is 33.
Top players saving themselves for Miami next week.
