I backed the Lions, as Bailey was lining up for the final goal after the siren, amazingly the odds were $3.70...

That is crazy you could get those odds. Never looked like missing either.

Not sure if you were at the game or not but if not your telecast must have been pretty spot on. I noticed tonight’s match the odds were about 10 secs ahead of my telecast although I was streaming and then casting to TV so I suppose I can’t complain.

@peter-morrell WOAH! That’s amazing Pete crazy how they didn’t suspend the market as he lined up.
Maybe another little loophole to exploit for the next post siren winner.

@sean-fitzgerald the market is heavily skewed towards the side leading I’d noticed that also mate especially last week in Geelong. Great win for the mariners tonight it’s awesome seeing them and AU as they competition bench mark.
Tough loss indeed mate a few passengers for to many weeks now going back to last year. I’m not anti Bucks but I thought he didn’t have a great night tonight when Brisbane got back in it.

Half way thru the 2nd Quarter tonight and Collingwood leading by 25 points traded at 1.14 they lost with the final kick of the match.
Definitely where even sides see 1 open up the handy break well before HT they are inevitably worth laying.
Didn’t trade it myself as I’m a Collingwood supporter but again more than enough liquidity and again showing it’s potential as a tradeable sport for those who follow and understand it.

Lots of opportunity in this game tonight. I was at the Mariners game (great comeback win) so didn’t end up trading but was watching the market in the last qtr and was tempted to jump in a few times. Feels like the market is too heavily skewed towards leading teams in close last qtrs.

Tough way to lose tonight mate. I expected more fireworks from Bucks in the press conference.

@sean-fitzgerald cracking game so far trading your own team is dangerous mate 😉managed to get on at 1.30 will see where we at at HT.

Got some liability out in first qtr but ended up trading out just before HT for a chunk of red.

Would have helped if Crows could kick straight 🤦‍♂️

You and me both mate. Inaccuracy cost them big time. Good signs going forward tho for them.

@sean-fitzgerald just saw Swannies 1.38 tomorrow I think that’s ridiculously short especially given Adelaide’s record on the SCG. Will be interesting if there’s a huge over reaction if Sydney get off to a decent start and judging by how both sides played last week and being at the SCG could very well be a high scoring match.

Yes I intended to lay Sydney pre game but missed the start. Ended up laying them at $1.39 with Crows a goal up.

Will aim to get chunk of liability out before end of Qtr and see how we progress from there

Disclaimer: I’m a Crows fan so may be a little biased here

@martin-futter for sure definitely a great sport to trade. It’s an interesting one cause like NBA and NFL it’s definitely made for trading but because a lot of people know very little outside of Australia how it works it would obviously slip under the radar. Hopefully we have enough success that firstly people get into the sport and then see the potential in it from a trading perspective. If you have BT Sport they show about 5 games a week live most either early morning or around 8am.

@sean-fitzgerald yeah still very much infant stages for me and agree its interesting to know when to get out so happy to use small stakes and slowly work things out. I have a feeling that attack will be very much to the fore this season and already seeing sides kick much bigger scores than last year. So laying at short odds is working well but won't be laying Port at 1.10 against Essendon for example but again if Essendon were to start well backing Port if you got the right odds would probably be a no brainer. I think the process works well tho in matches where the sides are evenly matched as there is inevitably that momentum shift where a side can kick 3 pretty quickly and drag themselves back into the match. Will look at laying crap teams leading at HT and also think that Pete's 3 goal buffer strategy could well be a good way to scalp profit during the match.

@sean-fitzgerald Brisbane were dead set robbed and the rules don't apply to Selwood I counted 3 also. I thought Brisbane were coming home the stronger also mate but in the end the home side got the rub of the green. I reckon there could be some great matches to trade this weekend including. St Kilda v Melbourne Sydney v Adelaide and the Dogs v Eagles.

    Agree on all fronts there!

I’d also pegged Swans/Crows and Saints/Dees as matches of interests as feel both are closer than current odds.

I’m still treading carefully as not confident in my entry and exit points yet. Just don’t feel I’m nailing it yet.

Geelong traded as high as 3.0 briefly and came into 1.37 as they retained the lead with 2.30 mins to go and hung on to win by point after leading at one stage by 27 and trailing by 3.
Brilliant match so many cool trading opportunities.
6.7 points green more than enough liquidity at £500,000 late in the final term and pretty much £400,000+ for the majority of the match. Going to be a great season.

Nicely done. I also laid Geelong late in 3rd Qtr. Took liability out when Brisbane hit lead. Left a little green on Geelong but heavily skewed to Brisbane. Possibly an error but felt they were finishing stronger.

Terrible call from ump on the Blicavs tackle. Unbelievable! Thought Geelong had run of the green with umps tonight. I saw Selwood throw 3 deadset rugby balls tonight. But all in all great game to watch tonight.

Geelong trading again at 1.10 final quarter and now out to 1.50. Brisbane look the stronger side in the final quarter.

Geelong now out to 2.10 as Brisbane hit the lead for the first time.
