Hey Trader!
On behalf of the whole team we are so please that you are here.
Now it's time to say HELLO
We want to know more about you and what makes you tick.
Simply start a new thread like 'New Member - Ryan Carruthers From Lincoln' Then tell us:
- Who you are?
- Where you are from?
- What stage are you at in your trading journey
- What's your background?
- Why did you join BTC?
- What do you hope to get from the community?
- What are some of your trading goals?
Don't be afraid to share the nitty gritty, the more we share the more value we can create.
We want every individual to feel like they are joining a family, so let me also take this time to say that the main rule we have here at BTC is that no question is a daft one - the reason why is we know trading is confusing we have all been there, we don't want you to feel lost, scared or confused at any time. So you can now ask away
We would really appreciate it as you are now part of the family if you would say hi to some of the other new members, just look in the introduce yourself section and say hi.

I'd like to trade at 10% profit per week and just compound that.Still navigating my way around so will likely 'lurk' in the shadows for a while until I can speak with any confidence

@Stephen-Knowles That sounds like the dream that!
I like the golden hour before the kids get up as well it's a game changer having one of them, coffee and trading sounds perfect!
-
@Ryan thanks for the reply, I have started to record data it's just a case of keeping at it! I'd like to learn more about Excel spreadsheets which I'm sure I will as I go along to get running totals/percentages etc in the charts. Like @Martin I'm an early riser so that is my 'golden hour' (before the kids rise...) to do the research and input the data into spreadsheets ready for my days bets/trades. I am lucky that I can listen to BTC podcasts while I'm building walls so I'm currently going through them, some of them twice to help it absorb! I'm determined to keep at it and am enjoying the journey although it's only just started.
-
@Stephen-Knowles Welcome!
Beautiful part of the world, welcome to the group great to have you here.
what's stopping you actually recording data?
-
Who are you? Stephen Knowles
Where are you from? Kendal
What stage are you at in your trading journey? At the beginning!
What's your background? Stonemason
Why did you join BTC? To learn how to consistently profit from Betfair over the long term.
What do you hope to get from the community? Ideas and information of how others do things. Transform my mentality to not chase loses and be disciplined data recording.
What are some of your trading goals? Initially to cover the cost of BTC, then eventually I'd like to think I can make an extra £5/£10 a day doing something I enjoy and am interested in that is a far cry from my manual job!
-
@andrew-page That's amazing, that would be a lot more than most get as well.
You can build on that as well, I think for a lot of people they actually need to see this can be done then they can believe in themselves more.

@Michael-Rathbone Its worth remembering (I mentioned this to another today) how the people who make a full time income from trading got there?
They built their banks, the person today said its pointless doing low stakes lays on the strategy I want to be doing £100 lays, but you dont get to the £100 lays without doing the £10 ones.
Nothing is pointless its the lessons learnt whilst low stakes building up
even a dripping tap fills a bath
My lays last year produced a profit of £1700 not much by some standards but its decent profit for £20 straight lays every day is a learning day even for me -

@Martin presumably need a pretty big bank
yep you can compound and build over time though, one of the biggest mistakes new traders make is trying to rush the process or starting with bigger stakes than they are comfortable losing.
