@Nikki-HALSALL It seems like you are perfectly set up for this!
-
Yes I have time in the morning, if I work from home I can set myself up for the day and check in now and again, when I go to the office although its takes an hour each way I don't have be in until 10am so I still have a couple of hours first thing. Feel like I am in a good place to give trading a proper go.
-
@Nikki-HALSALL Oh wicked! That's a good mix, when you are at home you have the time to find the trades and get them set up?
Thank you that is always a good driver for us the podcast and YT people do really like it.
-
@Ryan I work for the Library Service, at Head Office, we distribute to the 44 Libraries in Oxfordshire, so its half financial paperwork and half distribution. To be honest at this stage of my career the best part is the flexibility, 2 days working from home and 31 days holiday and a decent pension.
I am racking my brain to think how I found you, I think i must have signed up to your emails maybe after watching a YouTube vid but i honestly can't remember, I have been listening/watching for quite a while.
I listened to a pod yesterday from June and found out that I shouldn't be using the cash out button - who knew :), that's my learning goal for the weekend, practise the manual trade out.
Thanks for the engagement so far.
-
@Nikki-HALSALL Well being a Liverpool fan gives you bonus points with me!
Thats wicked, what do you do for work? Did you search for the pod or did you see if from being on our emails? (Sorry for all the questions, but I love when people engage with us like this and it's great for me to know where we focus our efforts).
You drop as much as you want here, thats what this place is all about. The more we know about what you are wanting to do and achieve the more we can help.
That sounds a lot like a lot of people before you so don't worry there, it's hard when on lesser stakes to pull the trigger and get out a lot, it takes a lot of work.
Sounds like you are on the right path, I think if you like goals stick with that and you are doing one strategy which I love.
-
@Ryan I started looking for trading opportunities about eighteen months ago on YouTube, i think from memory that must be where I first found you guys. Then I started to listen to the podcast. I started at the very beginning and have been working my way through them - I commute an hour each way to work and I loved the fact that I can educate myself whilst I drive.
Gaps in knowledge - lots at this stage obviously but I think at the moment without being too much of a cliche I have mainly been looking at over 1.5, because I like goals I find some matches (through a free service) and trade in play. I wait until 1.6 and get in, which means some games i don't trade because a goal is scored before the odds get to 1.6, which I don't mind too much. My biggest problem is, because it's just a quid although I am learning lots about odds movements i am not getting out of the trade. I need to work out when to get out because it's bringing me back to break even so I am not testing the system fully. This is leading me towards set & forget as it takes me out of the equation although I am pretty sure if I was betting a tenner (and I won't for quite some time) I would have worked out my stop/loss by now.
I think with a better selection process (and now I have the tools to do this) I can get in a little earlier 1.5 and work out my exit point from there.
Sorry that was a lot
ps because I lived in Cheshire before moving to Wigan I am a Liverpool fan too

@Nikki-HALSALL Welcome!!!
Great that you made the move over from matched betting, when did you start thinking about trading on Betfair?
Ahhh the compliment will always help 100%.
When it comes to the education and support what gaps do you think you have lacking?
-
@Martin Red Rock, near Haigh so about 3 miles outside, I am a little bit older than you guys but Wigan Casino was gone by the time i moved there at 7 years old - I did frequent the Ritz Cinema though and I used the Gym at Robin Park to get fit before I joined up. Still feels like home
-

-

Where are you from? Raised in WIGAN (nod to Martin) , Living in Oxfordshire
What stage are you at in your trading journey? A current matched bettor at the very beginning. I have had a profitable trade and a profitable week but want to move to a profitable month and then a year.

@Victor-Flores Wicked! Thank you for joining, where did you first hear about us?
I am glad you are following what's been laid out that is key as it will get you using the software the best way.
-
@Victor-Flores great stuff, you have come in with a great attitude to it! Let me know how you get on and if you ever need any help, just message on here or message me.
-
@Ryan Evening everybody! Joined tonight, been matchbetting for a few months and can see that this isn't sustainable, long term. Saw a few trader videos and started trading a little with the pot I made from MB, but couldn't get a strategy that was consistent. I picked BTC because it seemed the most genuine and less moneygrabby than some of the others and I loved the look of the software. I'm from Colchester Essex. In the long term am looking to trade footy and Tennis. Am very motivated and am following everything as set out by admins and am just generally excited to be learning a new skill that will make me some money! All the best to everyone. Vic.

@Peter-Williams done!

@Martin Yes please mate, I donโt know why I put my wifeโs email address on there. I tried to change username this morning but for whatever reason wasnโt accepting my password. The payments are going through her account but when setting it up I should have put my own email in as the payment email.
Itโs okay if you want to be โPeteโ some days and โMichelleโ on other days! We non-judgmental here

Hi my name is Pete. Iโm from Pembrokeshire West Wales, but live in North Wales now with my wife. Iโve been tennis trading for just over a year now and want to add football to my sports trading list. I joined BTC for this reason and also because Iโve seen lots of good trading opportunities here by looking at YouTube posts. Iโm primarily going to trade tennis as I have been doing for the last year while getting to grips with the footie trading here. Iโm already in a good tennis community at tradeshark for the tennis and know there is also a great community here too. So I hope to learn a lot more from you more experienced traders and brainstorm together to create more profitable trades. My trading goal is to make a consistent part time income which I can build up over time. I like trail running and fitness which I feel helps me in my trading by keeping disciplined. Great to meet all of you and happy trading
