I mean they only been in a month and never owned a football club i was expecting a few slip ups

@dan-peacey yeah mate under ashley if we got howe would of been buzzing as i felt that was the best we could. I think emre is better but i dont blame for taking i mean alot of work needs to be done i mean not evening talking about the team the training ground needs re done. Pretty much everything needs knocking down starting again
Nobody capable will take on the role. If you are Emery, why would you? Club is a basket case and he has a good club already.
If you are Gerard, same question. He is being allowed to build a team and legacy at Rangers. He won't get that at Newcastle.
The type of manager who is good at avoiding relegation tends not to be good at building a team; they are very adept at working with what they have but not so good at long term development.
Best hope would have been somebody like Benitez who has the rare ability to work with garbage and can also work with diamonds. The "garbage" was reference to us, Newcastle, when he was in charge, not Everton.

as a fellow NUFC fan, I think that Emery would have been a good signing for us, however not at this point in time. We need a manager that has PL experience, and someone that can lead us out of the s**t that we are in with a very mediocre squad. Im thinking Eddie Howe isn't as silly as it sounds, i have always liked him and I believe that he guided Bournemouth to 3 promotions in 6 years to get to the PL and then managed to stay up in his first season, with a far worse squad that what we have currently, also Ritchie played under him there too. Failing that I would pick Fonseca.

thought emre to nufc was priced to short so layed it with 1 point checked twitter this morning manged to get out with 1 point won
as a toon fan i am gutted at least made some money from it

@james-rome yep you have a very similar outlook to me in that regards, trading is best done when its not seen as a full time job and only a passive investment. We should be reaping rewards not working for them with betting especially the working hours. Set and forgets are the way to go in my opinion glad to see a like minded person.
-
@darri cheers mate i do like shg but i am active person so weekends are normally very busy i am always out so i find it hard to keep up with them as when out friends and family i dont want to be on phone placing a bet or whatever just want to enjoy it so ill stick with this why you ltd work well for me. I may attempt your goal scorer ones as i do like how they work.
hoping maybe after christmas time if results keep going steady can start trading the O1.5
-
@james-rome it will be so easy to just jump on them especially if they ever have massive runs of wins. Just keep doing what you are planning. If you stick to this plan and dont deviate im telling you now this will work out crazy well for you! Good stuff bud keep it up glad some of our chats are put to use

EOM Review
Decieded to focus on 01.5 Set and forget for the moment as with life opening up sets and forgets are better for lifestyle. My tweaked o1.5 ive been testing has had a good month. Got some advise from people so trying to look at my leagues i am using as atm this is based on min stakes but if i want it to be scaleable i need to look at it as some smaller leagues have low liquidity. Done 3 months of testing now can done 114 trades so happy with my return. ATM only do Darris LTD to help my bank tick along. When i get to 250 i may look to start using small stakes.

So as a massive newcastle fan i am buzzing about the takeover which got me thinking about the spurs game a week on sunday. Newcastle are priced at 3.55 atm so ive backed 2 points. I plan on scalping here before KO wilson should be back have a new manger and the buzz around the game for a new era for the club i think the price will come down.
I'm excited to see what approach you have now, always liked Newcastle would be good to see them back among the top teams!

@Darri hey mate i just still paper trading these atm just want to get more data. what i did was just exported the filters onto a excel sheet friday and just checked results as had a busy weekend.
funny enough i was thinking about this today actually i think i am going to focus on shg atm and reduce selections down by score line at HT. your post got me thinking the other day about quality or number of trades. so i am going to focus on that for the moment

@james-rome So over the course of the weekend you traded 36 games? I think this number needs to come down quite a bit. Ill have a chat with you when i have time this week to see if we can sort something out
Im worried that you are trading 2 very high strike rate intensive strats and both relying on the overs markets. Essentially if either strat has a 2-5% strike rate drop so really only 1-2 games this pretty much guarantees a losing batch of games. These strategies also require a large volume of games to be traded to make good gains so having 2 of these is causing you to be trading non stop for a weekend and as such this becomes such a large bank outlay.
I would say we need to focus on just one of these to trade

Thought id share my some of the season long bets i been doing why i did them just to see if people had any thoughts on them.
first one was i placed a bet on Newcastle to go down the start of the season. for my sins i am nufc fan and under Bruce i knew we go through a spell of the season where we would go on a run of losing 8 in a row and thought price would drop. so backed to go down and layed when price lowered. Also after arsenal got beat by brentford i placed a bet on them to as the next 2 games after where Chelsea and city and thought wouldn’t win those so price would fall and i got out.
After arsenal got beat by Chelsea arterta odds dropped for him to be sacked from podcast and stuff i was reading he was unlucky to be also international break and next game was Norwich. i laid him at low odds my plan was wait to after that game and get out. I got cold feet and back odds increased after before the Norwich game so got out for some profit
next after juve start i back them at what i thought where high odds. i watch serie a alot i still think juve will win as allegri is all about winning no matter the style. they had some good fixtures coming up so last weekend back them again to win after game odds dropped and was in profit i removed the liability but accidently cashed out the other day so made a little profit
asking this as what i been doing is placing bet before games were expecting after price to drop. i am thinking of doing the same with Chelsea this weekend as liverpool got city so if Chelsea win at home to Southampton and say other game is draw or liverpool win i think odds will shorten. does anyone else do something similar for the season ? just wondering if it may be worth dropping in and out during the season. just using small stakes so if it goes wrong not much damage bee done

EOM Review
SHG - 34/44 Winning Trades Slighlty Profitable this month just ha. I am still paper trading this filter only got 68 trades when i get 200 i will look at possiable excluding score lines as already i noticed if i did on certain ones if have more profit but i dont have enough data yet.
O1.5 111/143
As said the other day i am tweaking something as i noticed if i kept home odds selection the same and looked for 01.5 odds of 1.33 or more could of made more profit.
With current selection if i just stuck to leagues only instead of applying to european and internatal tournments this would of made +1.98 profit this month. Ill keep collecting data for the moment
O1.5
O1.5 - Tweaked Results (O1.5 1.33odds)

@darri cheers for the help i will be paper trading this for a while like you say to get more data as could just be purple patch. Wait and see fingers crossed its something
