Yeah mate all do all that i guess what i am struggling with atm is losing them points. I know if you told me start of the year with both my bank overall would be up 25% id be happy i guess its the mental side. this is why i wanted to just trade the games for a year i have the data ive seen the long winning and losing runs on paper but different when you going through.

Like i thought id cracked it a month ago everything was going my way overall i am still up and thats the main thing.

@james-rome to be fair, I never recorded goal times. It was more that I would check if a trade didn't get matched when the first goal was scored.

The best thing that helped me with my discipline was to monitor my actions rather than the outcome. For example, if you broke it down into different steps the actions might be:

Check filter for upcoming trades
Record upcoming trades in trading journal
Carry out secondary checks on teams, odds, etc.
Place trade (matched? yes/ no)

Then see if you followed all your steps. You might say, actually when I was doing Step 3 I got distracted by another match and I started looking at that instead. Or my trade didn't get matched at Step 4 so I lowered my entry price. You get the idea? If you did all the steps correctly and you can honestly say to yourself if this exact same scenario was to occur tomorrow I would still do the same thing, then you can't really complain. Sometimes you just have to put losing trades down to the fact that some trades must lose

@dan-mackinnon i dont track the times i do have a simulator so can test it out i was thinking about it as may help i know if its about 1.15 pre kick off get matched about10-15 most goals are 20min plus why i thought may look into it

my main aim this year is to be disciplined and stick to just doing the filter i may start recording them now for future

@james-rome yeah seeing whether you can get slightly better odds.

Do you track the time of the goals scored? Because there might be something in missing a few due to early goals but reducing your liability on the losing trades.

When I did SHG I queued at 1.35 and very rarely missed any. The ones I did were either before 20-25 minutes or with teams that you expect goals anyway.

At what point did you switch from 1pt liability on the O1.5 to 4pts?

Also, would the same strategy work if you did a 3/1 ratio?

i always wanted to lay to win 1 points and knew my loss would be -4 points. For simplicity in my raw data i track backing with a point.

Not sure what mean by 3/1 ratio do you mean looking to back at 1.3 odds ? funny enough I have been thinking of his in the past
