Morning all , update from yesterday's trades
I traded two matches in my late goal strategy, with this system i split the stakes in 4 , of £3.26 stakes on 81,85.88 and 90+1 mins. I had one winner and one loser yesterday
The Losing trade was the Colombian A match which i layed under 0.5 goals and the matched ended 0-0 so a loss of £13.04.
The winning trade was in the South Korean K1 match between Seoul vs Suwon City, the score on entry was 2-1 and the final score was 2-2 with a 94min equaliser that won me £41.51.And i had one trade on laying of the underdog if they take the lead , this was a loss but i only trade 1/2 a point on this match in the Lithuanian A match between DZiugas Telsiai vs Suduva . I was annoyed with myself on this trade as i shouldn't have traded , i checked the lineups and the away side which was the favourite was missing the top two goal scorers the match ended 2-1 to the underdog. So a loss of £6.52 on this trade
A have 9 matches on my filters today 8 laying the undedog and 1 late goal , will update this evening how i get on good luck all today with your trading

Been a quiet month on the trading so far with the winter leagues not meeting my minimum of 10 matches played and for some reason there have been very few matches from the summer leagues meeting the criteria to trade.
Only my 3rd and 4th trades of the month this evening ,i had a nice winner this evening on laying the underdog in the Irish Div 1 with Galway getting a 96min equaliser to boost the bank nicely with a profit of £98.12.
The weekends tend to produce a few more matches than midweek and a few games are on my two filters for tomorrow.
I am going to try to be like Richard a bit more and update my blog more regularly to help me keep myself motivated and accountable . -

Fingers Crossed the other competitors either Chose Newcastle, Forest , Man City or Liverpool. Palace are looking a strong outfit this season even with a very difficult set of fixtures at the start a good point as you predicted

Hi all advice please not trading related but football still. I have entered a competetion a bloke at works mate runs "Last man standing", over 150 people entered at £10 a player winner takes all and i am one of 9 players left.
You have to pick a side in the Premier League to win the match ( a draw or loss you are out of the competition) , Picked so far Man City , Spurs , Liverpool, Arsenal and Crystal Palace. So i have Man Utd and Chelsea still but Utd are Playing Arsenal and Chelsea are playing West Ham i have my thoughts on Brighton to win at home to Leicester do you think that is a good move or does anyone have a different view ? Thanks -
@james-everard Hi all update for August,
after a good first couple of days of the month, it went horribly wrong on a couple of the strategies which i scrapped trading fairly early on into the month
. I stopped trading the over 1.5 goal system and for some reason i thought i would get onto a lcs on 60mins which i soon stopped also. The lay under 0.5 fh goals strategy i will be paper trading this month only as i know i missed a few matches that would have reduced the loss on this system.
Again like every month laying the underdog system was in profit which i will keep and the late 80mins plus strategy i will be continuing.
The over 2.5 goal system i thought was the strategy that was performing worst, got it wrong it was the 1.5 goal., but dont feel the need to trade a 3rd system , So will now be trading laying the underdog and the late goal 80plus onlySystem 1 - Lcs on 60mins if no 1st half goal

as said I have scrapped the Lcs and back ov 1.5 and 2.5 systems thought I maybe onto a winner with the other 3 systems but guess what 7 losses on the bounce including a Japanese match of laying the underdog and thought finally will win a trade and decent money 97th min penalty for the favourite and of course they miss.
Will not be trading the rest of the month give me time to decide if I will bother to continue ever again -

@richard-latimer Interesting i never delved deeply into losing runs and the likely hood of compounding losses. Makes me even more certain now to ditch these set and forgets and stick to the other 3. Cheers for your input interesting to read
I strongly recommend looking at the high numbers. For example I look at the H2H but found the sweet spot is 80%. As soon as you go above that it gets much worse......not better!

I’ve been struggling a bit as well so not on your own. Hopefully things will improve with winter leagues now starting back up.
My suggestion would be twofold, reduce stakes but also focus on one or two strategies
If there's one thing I have learnt it's perfect one thing before moving on to the next. I'm currently tracking a lay over 3.5 but until I've perfected the lay under 1.5 tracking is all it will be.
Hi mate i was doing the laying of the underdog as my main strategy but it has so few matches over a course of a month not worth just doing the one system. The 1.5 and 2.5 systems have gone from superb profits to cant win a trade every 1 is losing, it just destroys you as i have spent some much time and effort trying to create winning systems.
I am giving it until the end of the month to decide one way or the other if i will carry on , just a shame i have only recently signed up to another years subscription on here and for Bet Angel, stupidly and naively i thought i had made it!!I know what you mean. You need enough to keep the interest but if you don't mind me asking what are your main parameters of the over 1.5 as it's where my main interest is at present?
Hi mate i am to ditch the 1.5 system , i think i realise last month i got lucky with it as i do a set and forget at odds of 2.28 and obviously with the filter i am looking for a high percentage of goals over 1.5 but the bsp is very low and can often not get matched until 50-55mins , i have to noticed obviously with a high number of average goals you are quite often getting a goal in the 1st half so you end up hoping it to get matched late on instead. With probably most matches having over 1.5 goals before 80mins the likelyhood of me getting one of 20% chance of under 1.5 goals the odds/edge isn't there.
The 2.5 goal system thinking about is going to give me much more of a chance to get matched at the same odds. You normally only have to wait 15-20 mins before it gets matched and i have got to believe i am just going through a bad variance period on the system.
I put a set and forget back over 2.5 goals wait for it to get matched , i am more than happy to share the filter it is belowOverall goals- Greater of equal to 7
Overall matches played- Greater or equal to 10
Overall Percentage over 2.5 goals 70% or greater
Home percentage over 2.5 goals 60% or greater
Away Percentage over 2.5 goals 60% or greater
Overall Goals score per match average - Greater or equal to 2.55
Home goals score per match Ave- Greater or equal to 1
Restrict to current Season
Remove Leagues not on betfair
Scope last 10 matchesThat is the filter but i then delve into each match and check the same opp type percentage is still over 60% if enough matches and also i look at the last 5 h2h matches to check there are more over 2.5 than less
The one thing to beware is if you're looking for odds 2.28 then that's implied probability of 43.9%. Your longeest expected losing streak could be up to 16. You need to allow 5x that losing streak when setting your stake.
The lower the probability the less aggressive you can be with your staking and the more slowly slowly catchy monkey you will have to become.
Also.....and I know not everyone doees this. Take a look at the really high numbers in your filter as much as the lower ones. They don't happen as often, the odds are higher to lay/lower to back (or you will have to wait longer) and just one or two losses when you only have a few selections over months is an easy one to remove. Not so easy to make up.
For example, my parameters never go higher than 3.95 average goals, pretty much never go higher than 2.5 when looking at individual teams (often 2.4).
Plus, at som stage the higher numbers the more you are expecting a return to the mean.
I've noticed it's the exact same looking for games to go under. Don't always look for the lowest numbers. Sometimes it's the high ones which are ripe for the picking!
