@chris-osborne Unreal!!! I do love him, great player. Bet he is loads of fun after a few beers too

I have found in some tournament that you could get on a long shot but find it very hard to get an exit from the market. Players like Bryson and Dustin etc attract a lot of attention and prices can moves a little quicker despite being a few shots off the pace.

Anyone not seen it check out John Rahm’s shot at the 16th In practice yesterday has to be seen to be believed
Unbelievable shot. I can't even get a normal hole in one never mind that.
I remember years ago in my punting days backing Jimmy Walker to win the PGA 2016 at crazy odds like 750/1 only because I seen him at the open at Troon hit a driver off the fairway to 3 foot for an eagle. Think i'll take a bit more of a logical approach this time round but on the final day he went head to head with Jason Day and ended up winning it. There was no cash out option so I was in it till the end but he was around 2/1 going into the back 9.
My thoughts a but of research and get on a few at high odds if they do well should make some pretty good green. Easier said than done right enough.

Looking forward to this with not much else going on this week, be good to watch

I will be watching this with a lot of interest this week, don't know if I'll trade it as of yet.
Need to have a look through the players list and odds see who takes my fancy.

Just looking to see if anyone trades golf. I can sit for hours at the weekend watching Golf and with the lead up to the Masters this weekend was wondering what possibilities there are to make money from it. Looking at the odds for the masters there are some crazy prices out with the top 8 a lot of good prices to be had.
I have never really followed a golf market on betfair so not sure how it reacts but surely a good Thursday Friday for a player there should be a good price movement the further they go up the leaderboard.
For instance can get Tiger at 60 yes not the players he once was but I said that last year and look what happened.
This article is well worth a read!

I posted this on the main thread last week:
*It’s number of years since I’ve traded golf but one strategy that always served me well was trading the tournament leader on the last day.
Anybody who plays golf knows that when standing on the tee some holes ‘suit your eye’ and others don’t. It may be a drawer of the ball on a hole that suits faders or vice versa.
I’d check which holes the tournament leader (or other close contenders) had either scored a birdie or a bogey on at least 2 of the 3 previous rounds and then back or lay (depending on whether 2 birdies or 2 bogeys previously) as they stepped on the tee and then trade out on completion of the hole.
It’s fairly low risk as if the result was a par then it wouldn’t usually move the odds much and it was unusual for somebody to birdie a hole they had bogeyed twice previously or the reverse. Plenty of scratch trades but some really big movements when I caught a birdie/bogey.
Obviously you need the tournament to be fairly competitive at the time, if somebody is 5 clear in the back 9 it’s not going to result in large odds swing.*
I'll post the qualifiers for the final round and see how it goes.

Ive dabbled a little bit over the last few months but nothing solid in the last couple since the USPGA
Masters is one i certainly like to have a play with. Im not sure too much on my choices just yet but Xander and Dustin have been two of the best performers since the restart and also they haven't had a bad time at the masters in recent years. But im defo going to look more into it tonight and tomorrow.
Also Jon Rahm is another off top of my head also.
As at present i dont have a lot in the betfair bank at present will only be able to get on a couple of guys.
