@John-Folan an example of what I looked for tonight.
Trade was Wiedenbruck 2-0 @ HT. Ave goals 3.15, ave home scored 1.5 & ave home scored h2 0.8
Criteria for 2-0 stipulates ave goals 3-4.5, ave home scored 1.5-2.7 and ave home scored h2 0.7-1.5
A quick check of oddsportal.com:
home odds 2.26, ave over 0.5 H2 1.20
For 2-0 it's quite a broad spectrum anyway with home odds from 1.06-6.99 (not been forced that way, it's just the odds that have materialised thus far and I don't stray from that until I have the data. It's a moving target which hasn't moved in months!!) and over 0.5 H2 odds 1.04+ (I would still never go higher than 11.0 even from HT).
Hopefully this gives you a simple overview of how I'm choosing the selections.

Full update to come but +£3.98 today
-
Also, Ireland is still collecting data. That was a mistake.
-
Fridays limited number of selections:
Whatever happens now with that 3rd goal Tampa Bay is a play.

@john-folan can you open my sheet in dropbox?
Out at the moment but I think I can if I remember rightly
All my criteria I use is in the tab 'Criteria - Daily Selections'. Let me know if you need any help with anything.

@john-folan I'm thinking down the line really as can't afford any trading software at the moment but are there any bots that allow for odds dependent variable staking?
I was thinking about this myself but cost is an issue. @John-Folan do you think there is enough stuff already on BTC that would cover the cost of software to make it worthwhile, or is it better to build up more manually and then look to switch?
Probably not. I’ll try and automate all the stuff on the daily email it would probably be worth it then. Id hold off until not being automated is an issue if you know what I mean?

I've also put a request into the software thread which could make things a little easier in terms of promoted/relegated teams if they were able to incorporate it.
-
@john-folan can you open my sheet in dropbox?
-
@richard-latimer could probably do that then. I shall start to build the bot. It can be adjusted. What numbers are you looking for for each market?
Scratch that I just saw your post about when there’s a qualifier
-
@john-folan when I next have a qualifier I'll post up what I'm looking at and tag you so you can see.
-
@john-folan it collates ave book price so I always check in there to see what starting price was (ave) for over 0.5 Sh and home match odds.
This could be done to a point with Betfair starting price. Prob just adjust it up slightly.
-
@richard-latimer the odds portal thing might be a sticking point. Can you expand on that a bit?
-
@john-folan let me tell you exactly what I do then. Would help if you had access to my filter.
My filter spits out a bunch of raw info at the moment basically.
First I have to check to see that both team has layed 4 league games. Not bothered on home/away, it's just a fitness issue.
Then I check neither team was promoted or relegated if season not 20 games old for one or both teams.
If home were relegated that's fine. Promoted horns unless the away team were also promoted. if away were promoted that's fine, relegated not so unless the the home team were also relegated.
Once I have the actual potentials it's a question of check each at HT against both stats criteria and also ave book price of over 0.5 SH and ave book price of match odds which I get from oddsportal.com.
Some scorelines like 2-0, 1-1 and as I like to call it, BOR (best of the rest - the crazy ones) are less odds orientated. 0-0, 0-1, 1-0, 2-1 all rely on the odds from odds portal to retain such a high strike rate.

@john-folan interesting. Sounds like you can do alot.
I love it. I've got horse bots, dog bots and a couple of experimental football ones. I use it for Ryans split stake as well. It is pretty versatile and the support is normally pretty good. Also if you ask for a feature and they think its useful, they do try and add them in a future update

@john-folan cool.
Literally the only thing that will make it difficult is how my criteria looks at both overs prices and match odds for different scorelines.
So are easy. You know what scorelines they will qualify with way ahead of time.
Others are hovering on the edge until kick off.
Yep I can incorporate that. Look at one market or another to decide whether to enter

That's pre-match prices
