    19TH September

Have not posted for 2 months, mainly because I was having a bad run in August and at one point was down 16 points. I lost a bit of confidence in what I was doing and wanted to take a break from the forums and this blog. I then took a bad bug and then covid hit the family-all ok. That was a period of about 6 weeks when i didnt log into the laptop just had the odd trade or two from my phone. Battled back to a loss of 7.28 points in August.

Its only today that I have looked at my results and spreadsheet for a number of weeks.

I have had a couple of tweeks to my over 1.5 by losing Brazil and Finland. These two have cost me 17 points between them. Many thanks to @Private-Coaching-Daniel-Mills for helping me with a formula to see what leagues are making or losing money.

I have also restarted my shg strategy with using 1.25 odds for 2 point stake.

    Will update later.

@eamonn-hogan I've noticed over 1.5 seems to perform better than second half goal on a lot of the members filters, which surprised me as odds are usually the same.

Cheers mate Thankyou. Yes really happy with the way it’s going, no trade yesterday, none planned for today and my filter is not showing any until Thursday. Never before would I have gone that long without a go on betfair. If you can crack the discipline in this thing the rest should be easy.

Yes very close to giving up a while back is right. Just goes to show you should never give up, …….que the downturn now 😄

Hopefully August will be another good one.
I think your getting confused again mate. It’s me that supports the good team!

@eamonn-hogan This is fantastic matey 👍 Seems like you are right on the verge of cracking this trading lark wide open and entering the big time :money-mouth_face:

Joking aside though Eamonn it is so fantastic to see where you are now given that not all so long ago you had that betting blow out. Really chuffed for you mate, even if you support the wrongest team possible 😉

    2nd August

    July Update.
Have been a bit quiet in here lately but have been posting a few of my trades in the main thread.

Another good month for me with my laying of under 1.5 goals. I had been doing 2 variations of this strategy which was profitable at the start but after narrowing it down now to just the one I am going really with it. It currently has an 82% strike rate and has thrown up 31 points in 2 months with 74 trades.
This along with the occasional SHG are my only strategies now and honestly the pressure that has taken off me and also the amount of time I am saving not being glued to my laptop is unbelievable. Having only one strategy which I would say is all I have (because the SHG are very few that I get involved in) is fantastic.
Anyone reading this and still doing 3/4 strategies please pick one and stick to it, it really is a game changer.

Long gone are the days were I would log on to betfair and look for a "bet" just to have an interest, I no longer do this, I now log on to BTC stats and see if anything is on my filter, if so I log on and do my trades, if not betfair does not get opened.
I am now at this seriously since 15th August 2020 where I lodged £200, currently I am sitting on £1534, if I can do this , anyone can. I hope to hit 10K by this time next year.

    Sunday 10 am

    Lay under 1.5
    Kofu Ehime 1-0 (-3)
    Hiroshima Yokohama 0-1 (-3)
    Ryukyu Sagamihara 0-1(-2.75)

Well that wasnt the best start to a sunday. -8.75 points

Its exactly at this stage in previous months I would now look at backing something short eg. Djokovic at 1.24 for big stakes to claw some of that back. No that wont happen this time, I am in full control of what I am doing, yes Im a bit disappointed but I think long term I will get it back and succeed at this strategy.
If I can beat the mental side of this, anyone can.

Yeah knew it was beat when the red card went in and St Pats leading.
