Hi everyone, As someone who has come from a betting background winning a few pound then losing twice the amount, I decided to give trading a try. I started betting many moons ago and enjoy a "gamble" but have grown tired of giving my hard earned money to bookies. I enjoy most sports but mostly football. I came across some youtube videos regarding trading and of course it looked easy in the videos. I started small and won then won some more then decided to go bigger then lost, then i chase the money and lose bigger, I then take a few days off and do the exact same thing. Vicious circle.
I stumbled across one of @Ryan-Carruthers videos and found it really interesting, i liked the way he talked like a human being and at my level instead of trying to preach to someone. I watched a few more of his videos then decided to become part of the community at BTC. All of the members I have come across so far in the chat seem really friendly and helpful even the Pros like to help out and offer advice which is great.
I have started to keep a spreadsheet and record my results something I have done before but after a few losses I only start to kid myself so by following some advice from @Gary-Brown I have decided to start this blog and put my results in here to hopefully stop me from going down the wrong path again.My spreadsheet is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uQGqrD_SJLxH3URHO1lgDPqecTGXwCdTDREJIRcrkeU/edit#gid=0

You are tracking something for the long term, you arent itching to get this setup asap and want to be putting money into something that is proven. In time youll realise the advantage you have on other strats who jump the gun. They see green screens on their tracked data and jump too fast to trade it. The way we worked at this will mean youll be setup with a long term strategy from day 1, which can only improve. The discipline to just trade mine and keiths is gonna pay dividends for your own strategy given its in the same sorta market too, youll know a value price. Im looking forward to the next few steps mate and well done for jumping onboard with the advice and getting into it, some shy away you didnt and just wanted this to succeed. I hope 2022 is the year you reap those rewards for that patience.

@eamonn-hogan You are in exactly the right place my friend. My wife and I used to do William Hill Goals markets on a Saturday, then I got an email from Betfair saying I had money in my account in October, so looked at a few matches in BF and decide to lay the weaker team, which I now know as LTUD and had good results, certainly over 80% Success rate. My wife on the other hand wasn't having that much success, unless she used the goals knowledge I gave her, when she won over £80
So having found BTC Videos online and Ryan, decided to look further at BTC and its been a good move for sure, great learning environment and great people to learn from.

Since the last update I have cut out a lot of the lower leagues and smaller nations to only track the top leagues. This is where I will be sure to get my trades matched once the compounding starts. Once I hit 200 trades again with these leagues I will see if I can refine further.
Until this happens I will trade Darris LTD and Keith’s over 1.5 to keep me lively. Going forward I will only be doing these two strats along with my own over 1.5 until I am happy to compound my own and take along by itself.
Just want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy new year and a very big Thankyou to everyone who had helped me this year.
Let’s hope for a profitable 2022!

Still going well with this tracking of two strategies.
Since doing a few tweaks.
The SHG one has had 13 trades since the start of the month with 10 wins.
The over 1.5 one which is looking like the one I will start using stakes with in the new year has produced 45 trades since the start of the month with an astounding 42 winners and out of those 45 there were 43 with SHG.8/8 today in the over 1.5

SHGs offer pretty much the same or less reward yet most of us are able to find a way of picking a similar type s/r for 1.5s and require no inplay trading, a quality of life upgrade. Thankfully keith posting helped me kick on with testing and see if i could find a data led approach and just a perfect set and forget strategy. Good luck with these mate

End of month review for November
No more trades done with any money so as I said earlier in the month, it was just the 12/15 in Darris LTD for +4.21 points and 2 trades from Ryans Split stake for -0.48
The two strategies that Im tracking :
Over 1.5- 242 trades with 195 wins --80.58%
SHG-163 trades with 125 wins ---76.69%Still early days but I have been playing about with different leagues omitted and its looking around the 90% mark on both strats.
Hopefully in the new year I will be able to start with small stakes. -

@eamonn-hogan nothing wrong with asking just for reassurance mate, your at the stage now when a slight tweak could help you build a ticking bank and get somewhere with this. The mindset over these months has been improving and now all you need is to be armed with a solid strat that can take your mindset beyond those speculative plays of old. Good things are coming just be patient. This xmas period will be a good test of nerve for many to keep control of mindset and not get burnt. Take heart that your tracked data if it does well over this period will likely mean you have something good to come in future when your up and trading them. Building a strat is the easy part anyone can do it, the hardest part is always mindset and staying in control.
