Friday 10th July.
Great green day.
Started the day with 2 horse trades by laying 2.0 or lower. 2 trades 2 wins. 1 point.
Followed the lay the poor tipster tips. 5 trades 5 wins. 2 points.
Followed John Folans TROB. 4 trades 4 wins. 5.5 points
Had 2 trades in my unders, 2 wins. also lay the dog 2 trades (Horn and Sociedad) 2 wins.
A total of 13 trades and 13 wins with a total of just over 8 points after betfair deductions.Im now 2 days short of being in BTC a month and I couldnt be happier with what Im doing and the support that Im getting from quite a few of the guys in here, great bunch of people. I honestly believe by keeping records and writing down my results in here is helping a great deal. In the time im in BTC I am up 43.5 points. Well ahead of where I wanted to be in this timeframe. Just need to keep telling myself to keep focused and stay away from the loose bets that I was always drawn too.

Thursday 9 July.
Really happy with my new adapted under 2.5/3.5 goal strategy. 40/42 winning trades since I changed my method with 8 points profit.
1 point green today with the unders,, 0.5 points in the correct score market and 1.5 points in the horses. So 3 points profit today.
I am keen to use the lay the bad tipster strategy so may give it a go tomorrow. I have just been laying the favourite if it was 2.0 or lower. -
Wednesday 8 July.
Started the day with laying the favourite at the horses. Laid the favourite using my staking plan and traded out for a 1% green of my bank. This is the first day at trying this sysytem and so far has produced 11/12 winning trades with almost 2 points profit.
Also backed 0-0 ht time score in the middlesboro game and laid off for a 1% profit. Its small profits at the moment but hopefully through compounding it will grow quicker not long from now. Will post again later once the footy starts. -
Results from sunday/Monday. 3.5 points green over the 2 days.
Mainly through laying the favourite using the ratings system, this information is so valuable.
Also spotting that a goal was coming in the Varbergs game and tonight with Blackburn made a couple of green trades there.
Up 10.5 points this week. -
@eamonn-hogan 100%

@eamonn-hogan I was also red yesterday!
Yeah itβs how we react to red days is the key.

@eamonn-hogan I was also red yesterday!

Didnt get a chance to write up from yesterday as I went out to dinner last night. Yesterday ended up in the red by 6 points mainly due to too many goals early on in the united game and then no late goal as I was expecting. Also lost 2 points in laying the favourite in the horses.
There will be red days and Im ok with that whereas before I would have chased. The graph I am using for my profit is still in an upward curve and as long as it stays that way things are good.Started off today with a back under 2.5 in the Burnley game and also backed the 0-0 in a view to lay off which I have done for a free bet.
Hope its a green day for everyone.
-
Second day of laying the short priced favourite, this time it was 2 trades with a lay of 1.9 each for 1 point. 2 lays lost so a 2 point green.
One point green made in the unders markets so a total of 3 points today. Early night and got the green. No point hanging about waiting for something else to happen. All part of my new mindset. Good night and back at it tomorrow. -

@eamonn-hogan Another good day there then Deff seems like you are in a good place with your trading. You seem to be thinking carefully and clearly about the trades and that is paying off!
Going to have to rethink my unders strategy too as after 100 games it is JUST in the green, not sure the effort is worth such little green. Might have to steal and include your idea with the under 3.5 market
Keep a clear head, avoid boredom and rage trades, and I think you are going to make great strides forward. Here is to lots of green
Yeah my first strategy I was having a lot of winning trades but was not enough profit from that many so I decided to change it. If I feel strongly with the filter I back 2.5 before game starts and get out for by drip feeding. If a game has a goal in the first 10 minutes and goals were not expected I back under 2.5. If there have been 2 goals in minutes 11-20 I back under 3.5.
If as you say I can keep disciplined it will be good. Thanks to you guys for continuing to read these and comment. Itβs helping a lot.

Green day again. I feel at the minute I am in a good place with my trading.
Started the day with the idea of laying the favourite in horse racing when the price is 2.0 or lower for 1 point. Ended with a Β£8.80 profit just shy of 2 points.Started back with renewed confidence in my unders, a new filter which is only throwing up a few matches, and also looking out for games that have an early goal when goals were not expected. If there was one goal in the first 10 minutes I am backing under 2.5 if 2 goals have been scored in the first 20 I enter the under 3.5 market. Ended up 3 points in the green for the football so a total of 5 points green for the day.
Thanks to this group I am profiting so far, I am a more confident trader and I hope that continues.

Good morning EAMONN
I have been following your diary and fair play it's a very open and honest self appraisal.your last post which Martin commented on does read mainly like a straight backing or laying as opposed to trading.
I would also be interested in how the over/unders is going kick off to 1st 15/20 mins.I have done a lot of this recently in selected matches to get 10 %profit on stake then exit.I have mainly played in games with high liquidity. I have tried it under 2.5 to get 5 % and under 3.5 to get 10%.I haven't kept exact records (but I intend to).I may try to do the member's challenge but I'm pretty useless on Tech side of things. The reason I have veered towards the under/over 3.5 is (as you mentioned) in previous post an early
Goal can kill you in the 2.5 market ....granted at times you can reach profit target very quickly. In 3.5 market 1 goal is not a complete killer.I am a relatively new trader though have been a sports person for 40 plus years.I can empathise with much of your traits and randomness is our enemy.Horse racing is my sport and it is very difficult even for those with a lot of knowledge. They is a lot of information on horse racing about..interpreting it is key.Im sure the stats which are coming will be a huge help. Finally ...you never go broke taking a profit.
Best of luck and thanks for sharing. Thanks for your reply. Yes Iβm keeping it very honest hopefully to keep me on track. I am working on something similar with the under 2.5 and under 3.5 markets. Hopefully it will become part of my trading shortly.

@eamonn-hogan the unquoted trades just struck me as a bit random, is that a market you trade usually?
No. Just noticed it the other day. I see it as good value. Inter milan were 2-0 up yesterday after 20 minutes against the bottom team. They were 3.1 to score again with 25 minutes in first half and were shooting in. Likewise with Macabi Haifa were 2-0 up and I got 2.9.
