Anyone used Betaminic Website?

Sorry if this has been asked before but has anyone used or heard of Betaminic website for testing strategies?
I haven't signed up for it but having a quick look according to the website you can sign up for free and test your strategies on previous back data to see if it would have been profitable over however long and I believe you only pay if you want your strategy to pick out 'picks' that match your desired strategy for future bets.
I can potentially see this saving a lot of time on developing strategies and you can see if it would be profitable or not based on previous data
Here is the website https://www.betaminic.com
Like I said I haven't fully delved into it yet but some people might already have so there thoughts would be great.

@Ryan-Carruthers Have you signed up and trying to use it to test any O/U2.5 strategies yet
Mark;
Do you have any specific ones you would like to try? Be happy to give them a run if you like.

@charles-cartwright Lovely, can it work out what happened in the game? I.e. if you were doing a LTD at HT would it highlight games where there was 2 goals I wonder and highlight the timings so you could see 'yes I could get out there for profit' even though the result is 1-1 for example.
What kind of data do you have to put in to get results?
Ryan:
No it can't do that. As I think I said earlier it is really only of use in spotting potential value in prices before the game goes in play. I don't think it would be of any use or interest to the majority of people here that like to trade in play on football matches. For those of us who aren't bothered with trying to trade in and out of events though it looks quite good.
You should definitely check it out though if nothing else to look at how they handle the presentation of the archival data (much better than the ProForm site for horses) which allows you to easily create a system for a given time period and then test it in another to help mitigate the risk of overfitting data.

@Ryan-Carruthers here is the link to their YouTube page. This might help explain some of their stuff and what markets they cover.
-
@mark-cooper Rrrr gotcha, we have the makings of that with the BTC results sheet
I will have a look

@Ryan-Carruthers i think you can only put odds in and the markets are limited to a few. Full time result and U/O 2.5 goals are the ones I remember. By the looks of it, it goes by odds not times so you have to put in an odds range. You can put other data in as well like percentages of home/ away wins, losses and draws and win, loss and draw streaks and also it divides up the leagues so you can see which leagues are good for your strategy and which ones are bad.
I havenβt had time to sit down and play with it properly yet as luckily Iβm still able to work but Iβm sure you and the guys will be able to understand it better than me
.

@Ryan-Carruthers I haven't signed up to it yet. I just found it by accident and as far as I can tell its free to use the software to test your strategies but if you want your strategy to 'pick' future games then I think you have to pay for that service so I think to use the free bit testing a strategy and then using your filters on here to pick the games.
At least you can backtest a strategy on old games to see if would be profitable and would be a lot quicker than waiting for a few weeks or months of live testing.
I have started to thinking about getting more involved in football trading and so I took a look over there. It seems very slick and designed (it seems to me) to look at options for trading pre-play and not for in-play which is what I think most of the football guys on here opt for.
Signed up for their minimum package which allows you to see all of the systems they have loaded there as well as build your own.
What I was wondering is if anyone has something they have built on here that they want to see how it does when you look back at data. Would be happy to run it.
Again, though, has to be pre-play only so basically looking for value in the markets before they go in play.

@mark-cooper Wow great find, I will have a look now
Does the software give you the parameters for profitable strategies you input? Just thinking if so use that free then hope over here and get the selections
We want to build a back tester as well after the horse racing software.
