I'm still trying to understand the odds movements as they don't always go the way you'd expect after teams win rounds. Seem to be to do wiith buy ins and earning to buy certain equipment.
I layed @ 1.38. Could have taken some green a minute ago but it's going back and forth like a yoyo. If you know what you're doing these are perfect trading markets.
So I've taken almost 50% green on liability. But if the price falls again before the end of the half I may go in again. Also will lay winner of this map.

I missed thhe boat on last. Maybe I should have just taken the original price because Mouseports made light work of the opp.
Last big money matchup if the day starts in just under an hour. All the money apppears to be in Counter Strike 2 at the moment so who am I to argue.
Heres the expert write up not from me:
I simply can’t leave this one out of my esports picks for Tuesday. Another monster clash is on the cards, as FaZe Clan and Astralis will close the day. Both teams have been involved in some dramatic defeats in the past couple of days and will be looking to bounce back.
The best bet here is to go for over 2.5 maps, in my opinion, because both squads have enough quality to win at least one map. My colleague Elias Wagner explains why in more detail in the following FaZe Clan vs Astralis analysis.
As betfair only have the one market with good liquidity and don't have an overs market at all the angle for me must be lay the favourite. In the scenario of over, either dog wins first map (gets a great start and prices comes in) and I trade out or they lose first map and I top again for lower odds.

What's striking me so far is just how much the people writing up these matches know about their subject matter in comparison to the odds. Just seems to be so much value. Could have greened on this one massively but missed the price.

Ive just recorded fnatick vs og match, and seems that there were a lot of good trading opportunities, the market overreacts a lot. Teams hit 1.2 and 2+ several times during the 3 hour match. It seems its like cricket. Im not sure if this is 100% , didnt have time to rewatch the video i recorded, but definetly worth to take a look, specially if you have some gaming background.
I will follow the next game, and lay if price is under 1.4-1.3. , and later if anyone interested ill write my opinions, i have some gaming background.
No, you're right. That game went down to 1.06/1.08 briefly before it shot back out. I topped up at 1.2 and got out around 1.5 after my first lay at 1.37.

After a semi succesful first foray into this the next matchup I'm going to look at seriously is starting in 5. Mouseports against Natus Vincere.
A write up I've found.
Mousports expected to win but I'll be hoping for a bit of a better price and then may enter either laying the opp or backing Mousesports.

First big matchup today that people are taking an interest in appears to be Counter Strike again. Already almost 7K matched!
Begins at 13:25
This is quite a helpful analysis and preview.
One dominant team against another potentially underestimated team. 3 maps. Suggestion is it will go the distance. As theres only 2 markets (maps and match odds) I'm thinking the only thing to do would be to lay the favourite. If the underdog win the first map it's an easy get out and if not then you can either cut losses and red or wait and see if they look like pulling level for an easy get out/small green.
It seems to be streaming live on betfair.
If I watch this I'll feel like my son watching foortnite on youtube. If he catches me I'm going to have a hell of a job explaining myself when I'm always giving him so much grief haha!
Of course another way to do it would be wait and see who wins map1 then lay them.
Had to be patient but took a nice bit of green. Layed the favourite, topped up when they won first map and then just greened. Don't fully understand what is happening now as underdog when 2nd map and then it just went to another best of 6 round rather than another map.

@richard-latimer I'll give this a look

Right. I'm making a plan.
Going through all markets for the day to look where there's potential for good liquidity. Once i've done that I'm going to research each and every one for potential pre-match and inplay angles.

@richard-latimer Crazy! Is there an esports stats page?
Where it rates players?
I'm looking for as much as I can. That esportsbet site seems about the most detailed in previewing so far. Also, this may help. An interview with pinnacle esports trader about what to look for in over reactions.

@richard-latimer Thats a good shout the lower lays - is it a 3 map round then? So a 1.20 lay they lose the first map the price be what 1.50/1.60?
Yeah everything I see is 3 map. Liquidity not great on that one but the 1.63 lay would have been good.
Money on last night was insane. Over 200k when i stopped watching.

-
@ryan-carruthers before I went to bed I looked at a couple of tips on olbg. One was a short price lay at 1.2 which I will most probably lose. Inplay now. The other I tried to leave a lay of 1.63. Never got matched but would have been big green.
-
@richard-latimer Agreed this could very much be like the early days of betfair, I think a lot of people will be jumping into this market - so opportunity for us to navigate it smartly and have a look at angles on it.
Surprised nobody has not created a pot style where the players put into the pot and the winner gets it style set up. With people also betting on it to increase the pot, Betfair are missing a trick!

@richard-latimer Could be in these esports ones?!
@Ryan-Carruthers esports game currently inplay with almost 160k matched.
Was hoping this thread would take off a little more as we are currently scratching around in the dirt on football and horses.
This is the game:
http://live.proleague.com/csgo
You can watch live. There is now over £170k matched!
And this is a website giving a betting preview. Conclusion is to go for a 3 map game or over 2.5 maps. As it happens one player get done on the first map, their price rose massively and then came back in when they won the next map.
https://esportbet.com/faze-clan-vs-mousesports-betting-tips-esl-pro-league-s11/
We have to get in on this I reckon.
With no real sports anywhere esports have to the thing to study. It's all relatively new as well so this seems like one of those times when people could really take advantage. Kind of like how people talk of betfair in it's early days.
I'm taking a good look at what's on tomorrow.
