Just been reading the posts and two things spring to mind:

Everyone has the ability to become a trader. Most people don't though and that's because it is bloody hard. You have to work at it. Just like any other job you have to acquire skills and develop them. Some skills are easier to gain than others. Some skills come naturally to some people, but we can all adjust and become better.

Picking trades is easy, picking winning trades is harder and picking winning trades consistently is harder still. There are a lot of traders out there in BTC that are better traders than me. That doesn't bother me. Their internal software, their brains, work differently from mine. They also don't have my problems. I have no control over what they do, but I do have control over what I do. That self focus should allow you to do the necessary introspection, self reflection and self correction when it comes to trading.
Trading is behavioral. It is why I have problems with people charging £1,000 for a 10 hour trading course. You can give all the information you want, but if they can't control their habits, then they are unlikely to become successful traders. I believe behaviour can be worked on. I am a much better trader now than I was 3 years ago. It was hard work, there was a lot of self doubt there was also a lot of pain and suffering from blowing bankrolls. Each one of the failures was a valuable lesson. Don't be frightened to fail.
Right, I'm away to take my medication.Keith this is very helpful my friend and makes total sense to me. Thanks for sharing it.
One question I have for you, why did you stop LTD and move to the OV 1.5 Goals Market.
I've been reading your blog, but it doesn't explain why

@martin It's like - Don't worry about the the actual trades, they're as good any trades could be and will take care of themselves. You just concentrate on the (for want of a better word) admin of understanding the process around the trades and understanding what is important and why it is.
I am really poor at this . Big improvement needed in this area. I suppose , at least if i can acknowledge it then it can only get better....right?!

@Dave-Hayes For what its worth I think its a must. I went through every lesson and the base it has given me and even the discipline of going through have been fundamental to my progress so far
Cheers Mark, I appreciate that

Personally i found it extremely informative, but I was a total newbie to trading when I did the academy... i did the academy before I became a member of BTC too... I did the stuff on building filters after i joined however as without software access its not helpful lol.
I have a notepad with all my notes on which i refer to. I would say the academy is 80% teaching discipline and mentalilty etc. So guess it depends what your trading issues are.Thats very helpful Matt, thanks.

@mick-mcmahon there's an entire section on filter building for separate sports on the BTC academy... I've done them all and there are lots of videos.
Might be some on YouTube but unsure if the guys have put up a video like that as its only helpful for members.Matt, what is the Academy Like, I've been considering buying it

I think the main lesson from Keith is something I've said for years, trading can be as simple or as complicated as you make it.
Keith keeps it simple, guess what? He does well. Every very profitable trader I know keeps it simple. This is very True Ryan. As there is little trading action today, I might look at other optional strats, well Keiths one to be fair, as it seems to work for him

@Keith-Anderson I have to thank Keith for his 3% club. I am genuinely learning/digesting/understanding things going through this process - things i'd heard in the tutorial videos and read about but not really taken in as an important part of trading. Like logging your bets and making a plan and sticking to it. "oh yeah, I could do that stuff..."
I have had a couple of losses because i went "rogue" and as understanding sticking to the plan started to sink in, i got a gain or two because I left things alone and didn't panic and stuck to the plan.
I'm currently bang on Keith's target (just ignore the fact I started a little above the £100 start and haven't managed to get on all the trades.)So - here I am... just a boy.... looking at a Keith.... thinking how can I convert a human into a filter
Also saying I really appreciate this.Mick, I can relate to so much of what you say, having been there and still there, reading, understanding, executing...All of which works
The bit at the end, about the human filter, made me laugh. They say Success Leaves Clues and they don't come much bigger than Keiths.

@mick-mcmahon ahhhh I love that I'm just a boy looking at Keith, I think he will help you build the filter matey!

@martin-walker yes and its awful lol

At the risk of sounding really stupid, I take it this Goals thing is laying all the time, judging by whats on the link above.
Also, I know you used to LTD why did you change strats please.
