Lay under 1.5:
I've never been much of a fan of Estonia but so far it's going just as well as any other league on this and odds aren't nuts either!

@stuart-wallace no idea can’t even remember being u25.
It’s pure speculation what the gambling commission will announce
A quick look at how much the government makes from betting firms and I'd say any changes will be superficial ones!

Not sure a lot of people share your optimism
There will be deposit restrictions and affordability checks after that who knows
They made £3.1 billion last year. Sure, they will do enough to be seen as tackling an issue but they won't want to stamp out a cash cow!!
Given how keen Hancock was to ensure Cheltenham went ahead in 2020 in spite of a pandemic, I'd call you right on this one, Richard.
Don't forget.....we are a freedom loving country which is why it was so hard not to break the rules.......

Same here in Norway. Legislation on wiring funds trough Visa/Mastercard or bank is impossible. My bank closed my accounts when they saw I got funds trough Neteller and Skrill, even though they couldt prove the funds was from gambling. And since Betfair just have Visa/Mastercard or bank as depsit/withdrawl options I had to close my account.
Now I use BetInAsia and use crypto for withdrawls.

Have to say it would be pretty funny if the Tories, who don't seem to give a f**k about regulating energy firms' behaviour or the fact that people can't afford food, were to instigate some form of regulation into gambling.
I mean don't they always rally against "nanny state" (showing the fact they are out of touch as I don't know anyone who had a nanny..)?

@chris-osborne aren't there already some deposit restrictions placed on under 25s by Betfair? I seem to remember a recent video by Peter Webb about it

What do people think about this? Both the Web link and the twitter feed/comments?

I've been trading a lot less time than people on here but I saw this too. The big players in the exchange game remind me a little bit of when Pokerstars lost all its regular high rollers, they were trying to appeal more to recreational players and ditched certain bonus's and rake back. I'm not really sure what's going on in the exchange environment, there is still money to be made as far as I'm concerned. I understand the gambling commission review and I get that is going to have an effect, but as far as liquidity and being able to generate an income from the exchange that is still feasible today as has always been the case I'm guessing? I also get that bots are becoming more popular and people with faster feeds/and inside connections but a 'regular Joe' like me can still make money on the football markets, making sure I get the right odds for my strike rate. I can't really comment on the cricket side of things as that is not my bag at all and I know nothing about those markets. Just some thoughts.
I think with discipline, the right mindset, strategy trying to make 10-20% monthly bankroll growth on average is possible? I'm not looking to get rich just a smaller steady income.

@martin I think it’s probably that he’s had enough and wants to do something else.
I also have a suspicion that it’s related to the gambling commission review.
Didn’t understand the liquidity comment, there’s more liquidity in cricket than anything pretty much, it’s just an excuse
Save me the time. What's being discussed in the gambling commission review?
This has been going on over a year mainly looks like it’s affordability checks and limits on deposits but who knows

did other people not get the premium charge break then as I got a message saying they were trialing not using it, which was obviously very pleasing!
cricket is very easy money for good cricket traders, as you have seen my dad makes a living for it for years and it's as good as ever.
maybe in truth he's either not a great trader or just done it for a long time and wants to do something else, the idea that the opportunity is not there is nonsense, you only have to look on here to see that!
I doubt there's many of us here getting the premium charge yet haha!

Something that could be interesting to the people who are following my over 1.5 selections on here is that for all betfair odds pushing 7+ to lay under 1.5 there have been 25 in my current data and 24 have gone over 2.5. Who knows if that will continue but it's a whole different angle to explore for potentially greater profit with less risk.
