@mr-emmet-moorehouse I am having a similar issue with mine too. Only thing I came up with was to split the points across the two systems on one game. Or be aggressive and just go for both. Alternatively you could have separate banks for each, although that is kinda like my first suggestion.

As well as doing the SHG strategy , I have recently been testing a 1.5 goals filter.
Does anyone have any risk-management opinions regarding a situation where the same game comes up on both the 1.5G and SHG filter and it is either 0-0 or 1-0 at half time?
On the one hand it should make no difference as they are different bets based on an different set of statistics regarding two different outcomes. On the other hand do I really want to have so many points at risk on one game?
Any opinions?

@keith-anderson totally agree. Was at the opening game for Port Vale last Saturday, must have been at least 7 minutes of extra time due to subs and one injury.
On a separate note, is anyone struggling with pre match scalping already this season? I can’t get a bet matched 1 tick above to save my life!
i am attempting it for man utd and newcastle games ...just thinking price will come in but price not moved much ....mufc actually went out because of the martial injury if nothing chnages ill be out 5min before ko

@andrew-findlater do you think it might be as many people haven't started trading the new season yet? i don't tend to get involved until about 7 matches in, maybe a liquidity issue?

Does anyone think that 5 subs will affect the Prem trading?
They need to do something about 'injury time'. It is diabolical the amount of time added on. The officials don't get it right. Most of the time on the football field is spent with the ball out of play.
I also think if a player is injured and requires the game to be stopped, then he should have to leave the field of play.

Yes another rule designed to benefit the bigger clubs who can afford to have significant strength in depth compared to most of us.
Could be good for trading especially if a strong team is losing and can throw in someone like Mahrez for example as 4th/5th sub after 80 minutes to go for it whereas most other teams could be down to Academy players at that point.
Every change nowadays is designed to benefit the bigger clubs. Even the "fair play" rules aren't designed to be fair!

@dan-mackinnon What a terrifying thought!!! But nothing would surprise me!
-
@matt-wood I was saying to someone in the office, the way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if end up with "specialist set piece takers" like in American Football. You can sub on a player to take a free kick and then sub him off again.

Todays SHG trades
1pt down on these. 2 bad days in a row but nothing catastrophic.....3 pt loss over the 2 days is recoverable

@matt-wood yeah will make it more boring to watch as if we need more breaks in football!

@mr-emmet-moorehouse just out of interest if its been a high scoring first half do you tend to leave the SHG trade?
It really depends on the league and the teams. I do know for sure that if I confined myself to 1-0, 0-1, 0-0, I would make more money overall. But there are some teams and some leagues where that might not apply.
