How are Besiktas missing all these chances?

Well the ploy of when things are going wrong and switching the laptop off and going for a walk is the best thing I have learnt over the last few weeks. Before hand I would end up getting involved in trades that weren't on my list and losing even more money and then totally losing my mind.
I now have protected my bank from losing my head and feel better for that. I can now focus intelligently on why my trades lost without looking at a zero bank account.Your getting their James. Keep this up mate and one day it will all click. A lot of people say it takes a good couple of years of learning to really master the art of trading and become profitable in the long run.
-
@james-everard The way I look at is from a price point of view. If you're waiting to get in at 60 mins because you know the price will be better, then you theoretically only miss out if you dont get on at your target price or lower.
If the goal comes before then and the price isn't right, then I wouldn't say you've missed out. I think it goes with the territory of trading that you everything is pointing in the right direction but a goal comes at the wrong time and the trade is dead.

can someone explain how the ‘points’ work. See people saying ‘up by x amount of points’ what does it mean please?
Hi John
basically what you do is divide your betting bank by 100.
This gives you what 1point or 1% of your betting bank is.so if your betting bank is £500.
1 % or 1 point of your betting bank is £5
I may put a bet on for 2% of my betting bank (£10) on a FHG at 1.51 odds.
If this wins i will win roughly £5 which is around 1 point or 1% of my bank.It is recommended that when betting you stake with between 1-3% of your bank on any single trade.
Give Martin a message John and he can send you some great blogs, videos and notes on betting banks and money management. Ive learned so much from him and it does make a difference between someone who is successful in the long term and someone who is successful short term. Over stakes and loses big amount of their bank which a lot of people including myself have made these mistakes. -

On my list for lay the draw at 60mins strategy is the Israeli Premier league game Maccabi Haifa vs Beitar Jerusalem. This is what I am finding hard is the inplay stats are awful no shots on target from either side and 4 off. The odds are 2.56 at half time for ltd, if I wait until 60mins the odds should be below 2.2. What I am struggling with these games with little inplay action seem to have a goal before the 60mins and the feeling of missing out is very frustrating. How do people's mentality get over the fear of missing out, or would you just go in at half time at higher odds ?
I'm with you there. Going in after 53 though.
Sorry, just realised you asked a question. As you know, I go in when the average times tell me to.
-
@james-everard There's so many games especially with more leagues starting back up in the next week or so if I didn't like th e inplay stats I'd leave it for 10 minutes to see if it picked up and if not just leave it and move onto the next game.
Before I joined BTC I would have blindly put the money in anyway but Mind set as you alluded to in an earlier post about protecting your bank roll is a big lesson I have learnt in the month I have been with BTC

@richard-latimer Thanks mate think I will change my entry point to 53mins then cheers

Your trading bank is broken up into 100 points, each "point" is basically 1% of your bank. So if i have a £100 bank each point = £1. So when your bank increases or decreases 1 point will still be 1%. This makes it easier to see if your bank is growing even when your stakes change. Instead of measuring based on money in and out which is harder to track if your bank is increasing or decreasing.

I think we're all different but I take 1 unit to equate to how much I'm using as a standard trade in my staking plan i.e. Using £5 stakes then £5 = 1 Unit - Profit for the day £20 = 4 units gain.

Besiktas losing 0-2 at half time lay price on opponents less than 1.4 worth a cheeky look?

Besiktas losing 0-2 at half time lay price on opponents

@richard-latimer decided to give it a miss for now. In play and watching it its quite a poor game. Has all the signs of a ‘bedding in’ type match where teams are more bothered about getting up to match speed. Not enough shown atm
