when it comes to good runs and bad runs i just think about what can happen when you toss a coin.

in theory you would get 50% heads and 50% tails.
    It doesn't work like that.
You can have a run of 10 heads in a row and ten tails in a row.

So if things like this can happen on something simple like tossing a coin then it reminds me that trading can have big variance and its just part of the job to accept this and work round this.

By thinking this way and not letting losing run hit me personally i am in a better place to stick to my trading plans and bank management.

guys i understand whats going on that a lot of these types of trades are based off a system. But there is more to trading than just going off historic stats alone. Martin, me and others post all the time about pre match research and how it helps narrow down selections. Everyone has access to these stats, yes build a strategy around them but its not just historic stats that guage whether a trade is value or not. You got to take the pre match stats and link it to what is happening in the game. When the fav goes behind is the fav actually on top? does the price actually represent value. Dont just lump on in hope. Each match is different. You got to enter a trade when both pre match and inplays stats/price compliment each other. See so many people getting involved in massive amounts of games for no reward and all the info they need to turn profitable is already out there. Im not saying im the answer and my way is the only way but i cant see how over a weekend being involved in +20 matches for no reward and spending hours at the screen is helping anyone progress. Im trying to demystify that notion on my thread for anyone who agrees. I know i may be a minority or come across as nagging but i have proof it works. These high win rates for little profits and for big losses are crippling everyones growth. Like martin says value is the only thing that matters!

@richard-latimer I had convinced myself if Liberic had scored (or the other mob) that would have done me for the day. Because they didn’t and it’s been a slightly red day now (0.5 points roughly) and I have a couple more I like I’ll persist.

@matt-wood I’ve found it best to analyse the trade and the data not the result. If it’s value over time then it will be profitable, doesn’t matter if the trade wins or loses. As long as you’re managing your bankroll properly it doesn’t matter

@richard-latimer it wasn't directed to anyone here, just a personal note to myself. I had days where I'm up just to lose almost everything with a few bad trades. It's more about trading psychology for me.

Thats the thing I am trying to get my head around now. If I lose it might not be my fault, just a freak result.

@john-hurst just important to keep it in the wider context I think. I’ve always struggled with the mindset side of things but if you lose but it was a good play then that’s still a win for the system

Despite a couple of losses I'm up 2 points. Now is the moment to pick the right matches and try not to waste what I've accomplished today.

I don't think I've picked poorly already. Just some incredibly frustrating games today.

Keeeping the faith. Rakow and Cracovia should be good for a goal. Entry after 65 and 58 respectively.
