@vito my advice is dont close your account as you wont be able to reopen one again i dont think. Doing no harm having it there for future- even years down the line

I was wondering guys is their a website or some free resource that can tell you the average odds at certain times during a match.
I am sure something must be out their not sure where to look.

@martin-futter the last six months have been a bit of a roller-coaster for me (in a good way, but still very demanding physically and psychologically), I've never had the time to do all the things I planned. I came back to work a couple of weeks ago, I will change company and city and the end of the month. I understand what you mean saying that it's a bit a drastic decision, but now it's just time to set priorities and avoid everything that can be a distraction. I may come back at some point, but now I have other goals to pursue.
why dont you just take a break mate you dont need to close account some time off is what you might need.

@vito All the very best mate!

@vito sad to see you go!
shame you never used the private coaching thread we may have been able to help you more
closing the betfair account is quite drastic, guessing there may be some discipline issues? i know you mentioned some trading psychology things the other day. sorry if i'm off base there just trying to work it all out.
all the best mate enjoy being outside in the sun more!

@simji Hi mate with experience you will know roughly what the odds would be at a specific time frame... 30mins I'd say lay odds to be circa 1.9
What time frame are you looking at?
Avg KO back 1.25
Avg 15mins back 1.51
Avg 20mins back 1.75
Avg 25mins lay 1.98
Avg 30mins lay 1.9Think that's about right, obviously elite teams will have lower back odds but probably best avoided with new traders
Apologies for switching between Back & Lay but those are the trading odds I'm most familiar with (you can always search google to switch either back or the lay odds to what you're looking for)... Hope it helps

I'm officially out. Lack of time and results (and time to analyse the results) helped me to take this decision. I've already withdrawn what's left on my betfair account, apart for a couple of bets on the next elections. I will then proceed to close the account. It's been nice, as long as it lasted.
Wish you the best and good luck to everyone! -
One thing i am struggling as i work a bit, i tend to not be able to track every game on my filter(s) when paper trading to see what odds you could have a certain times etc how do people find those out so say you have a FHG after 30 minutes. We can get the start price by going through all games and writing it down when we find it on the filter but how do we find the actual price after a time frame. So if you was going into a game at 30 minutes how would you find the last matched price? Or should i more be looking at what the results was rather than the price like the strike rate?

Brilliant to see some people are starting to adopt the less is more approach. Seeing people now include inplay stats/action, adopt different techniques to strats to narrow down games and most importantly people now starting to use pre match research. When i posted the other day about all that, i wasnt sure it would resonate with people but the response has been good. Iv also liked the idea gary posted about people showing their actual trades, showing price taken and what the p/l of that trade was. How many times do we see people post saying i predict a goal and then they post win (pretty easy to do this) instead show what you actually did. It makes it harder when someone posts that they had a losing day so when people like myself or other pros come to try help we dont actually see what kind of strat your on in terms of what price you got etc. With the return of both the summer leagues and ending of the top leagues we are going to have a flurry of games, all these things we have talked about both in here and on other blogs like mine are going to help you not become overwhelmed. Enjoy the return of the prem!

@waz perfect mate thank you. Trying to be a lot more targeted with my trading so this has given me a lot to think about

@sam-maccuaig Last 5 Form at home, injuries to key players, H2H between the two teams, performance against similar opposition type. You want to paint the picture in your head, Goliath will comfortably whoop David's ass, except on those 8/100 times.
Ryan has the "What has to happen question?", well for this strategy you should be asking "Is the live picture on Bet365 showing an ass whooping?"
hahahaha

@john-hurst makes sense, I'm an excel guy but I'll start a google sheet for these. @Waz understand if you don't want to share your selection criteria but it seems to me you'd be looking for a mid season (onwards) game with a decent elo spread (maybe +/- >300) and a home favourite. Anything to look at that you'd recommend?
-
@sam-maccuaig if you use google sheets you can simply copy the ratings and paste them in. If you dont have excel that is mate
