Ive just downloaded betangel basics today.
From what i beleive its a free to use very basic trading software.I only need it to help test strategies so I can place trades lower than £2.
This should give me accurate results on how my filters are doing without losing any real money or peanuts. Well hopefully i will be winning peanuts lol during testing stage 2. -

one thing what I have learnt from recording results from filters is that we need to take out all the games that don't qualify inplay to get the true strike rate.
So all the games that don't have a FHG or second half before the odds meet should be ruled out and not included in the strike rate as they are no trade games. Also all the games for LTD where the odds are too high to meet the crietiera for laying a team.
This is really important to find your true strike rate and if a filter is profitable.
Some filters their strike rate can drop considerably when you rule out all the games that you wouldn't trade on because they haven't met the criteria such as a second half goal came too early. The odds for laying a teram were too high, the first half goal came at around 9 mins and you don't enter until 15mins.
This is what some people forget when testing a strategy and is the difference between a successful profitable strategy and one that will only lead to red screens in the long run.
I personally like to paper trade all filters I may use to see if its profitable to how I trade.
Absolutely. Can't form part of your strike rate when you had no possibility to trade it. I've ruled games out on my lay underdog strat because the equaliser came too damn early.
There's the Teplic reply by the way. 1-1.

@james-everard give us a shout when your back and we will do some real in depth work in your private coaching thread

Guys if you're not following @Martin-Futter's SH goal filter "LTD or Back Another Goal @ 60mins I strongly urge you to do so.
Export the filter daily and record every result & times of SH goals... You might be pleasantly surprised!!!
In Martins words and one of my favourite proverbs...
"Give a man a fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime"
Like any filter they will have their bad moments... Over the last 15 games or so it's been on fire so you may wish to enter after the next loss. However I find this filter very successful with Laying the next overs on 60mins regardless of score... Measure it and judge for yourselves
I’m going to look at editing the strategies for this filter and offering alternative staking plans. So many on the master sheet are making a good profit regardless of even the inplay.

Just wanted to post a quick message and thank you all for your support and assistance offered. I really do appreciate it. I don't want to quit trading ( like i said yesterday evening)and this site is great so I have deleted all my filters and will take a few days off trading and I think I will come back refreshed with a different mindset and trading plan.
Will follow the forum posts with interest to see if I can gain better knowledge and take out of it what I think will benefit me in the long run. Once again thanks allLost count of the amount of filters I've deleted. If they're not working it's best to purge and start again.

@chris-osborne Another favourite quote of mine... "What we measure we can manage"

@alan-steward I know how good it is but never thought of exporting these and recording the outcome regardless of whether or not I follow the strategy or not - some I do and some I don't.

@stuart-capstick 100% agree with this. Grateful so much to all who post their stuff on here as it helps me to see what they do and try to work out why they do it for myself to understand.
Same applies for me also, we all trade differently and we can only learn from the different approaches on here.
Also, regardless of how reliable the source, you should always do your own research before entrring a trade.

@keith-anderson Just to make it clear - I wasn't suggesting you'd do it, I much prefer the way it works today. This is a trading forum and people should be here to learn and share, plus I 100% get what you mean by the added pressure, etc. I wouldn't like that either.

@john-hurst it wasn’t jammy at all. How many times in matches do we see late Goals? 85 mins plus? The first half inplay and odds made it a no brainer to either enter at HT or wait till later in the half. It picked up enough to enter again on 75 for an Over back.
Have to disagree with you there from what i witnessed it looked like both teams were settling for a draw. Little goalmouth action towards the end. Obviously this is subjective and everyone sees things their own way- this is a good thing. Not doubting Keiths selections i know for a fact they are sound.

@Keith-Anderson Great shout in Korea mate, that game was on 2 very successful SH goal filters I follow... @Martin-Futter's & Mine... Great shout for the team

Keith,I'm very grateful you take the time to post selections here.
I can categorically state, however, the last thing I want is someone else to trade for me. It's why I don't follow tipsters. I read their blogs etc because you can always learn from someone, even if they are not successful.
I got into this to learn. I want to fail or succeed on my own merits.
I should have added that I'm grateful to anyone who posts selections on here; always an opportunity to learn.

I agree with everything said here, This game was also on the daily email as a late goal split stake selection. The volume of late goals is frightening at times.
Having only been with BTC for about 6 weeks the occasional tip from the likes of @Keith-Anderson , @Frode-Lia etc which they don't have to do are appreciated and have kept me ticking over whilst I work things out as to the direction I want to go. Even more so in these strange times.
