@richard-latimer YTS kids?! showing your age there Mr Latimer
Yeah, I bet some people just stared blankly at the screen thinking huh haha!

@richard-latimer dont care what anyone says BATE was a good trade. If anyone watched it they would see why i said that. Stats/sot dont tell the full story.

@richard-latimer yes mate, odds were high but watching the game and two sides recently I fully expected utd to score
I'm still laying high odds. The only thing I'm looking for now is to see whether team losing is deservedly losing. If the game has barely started and there's hardly been a kick I'm happy to go with the pre-match as long as they haven't put out a bunch of YTS kids haha!!
BATE had already missed one pen and they weren't under the cosh.

@gary-brown What is the Basic I have the Professional version ( unlike me lol), I am sure I can do that on there will look into later.

I just want to add something to this conversation re BATE. While I get not all high odds are value, not all high odds are bad value either.
I just went through my sheet. There have been 52 selections now between odds of 4.0-9.2.
This is the VERY FIRST loss where not even a goal has been scored either side. By that I mean, if I have to re-lay this reduces my average odds and so they are recorded as less.
So when I have odds of between 4.0-9.2 I know these were straight lay dog, dog scores. Cash.
So 52 selections.
52 wins
1 lossI'll take 6.0 with that any day of the week!!

@martin-futter did you get involved in bate game?

Well the Bate game was one of them games and fair play to the away side ,Bate had loads of corners but they defended very well and prevented Bate creating much. Something for me to consider now ( all learning) not to have matches where teams are at the top of the table 1 or 2 place differences ( although the Elo rating say otherwise)
it can happen close to bottom of the table as well James.
oh if your testing mode James why don't you try out Bet angel basics. Its free and is great for staking less than £1 which is brill for testing strategies and filters and is a step up from paper trading.

@gary-brown Very good point , I think when making my lists of lay the underdogs I am going to then delete any matches where teams are 1 or 2 places difference in the league table ( near the top only) and also then look at the h2h results and form of both teams
-
@gary-brown i would do the trade again. They battered them in the second half just couldnt get the goal in the end. Unfortunately it happens sometimes
-
The Bate game identified as Lay the underdog is similar to the following game also classed as a lay the under dog game.
Stal Mielec v Odra Opole
The under dog is winning here but when you look into the recent form of both sides the away under dog has similar form in last 5 matches to the home form of the favourite.
Stal Mielec v Odra OpoleYou
So to me I would be cautious on this game even though its been identified as a lay the under dog if it takes the lead.basically look at recent form home and away and league positions not just ELO ratings as well as inplay stats. Just trying to help out.

@martin-futter Thanks for the heads up

@james-everard I don't think Richard gets in at 1-2 but I would, as you say much lower liability same with getting in late
