@ben-dobie couldnt agree more with this, the weekend should be just the same process you go through as you would on a weekday. If there are too many games on your filters after you further research then maybe your trying too much. Take my blog for example, 1 FHG (data collecting) and 1 SHG. There is always the mad rush once you find something that makes money, always wanting to find games to trade on it. But if you add up all the times this has led to people losing money and then compare it to the pros who just take it steady its a massive difference. The industry still appeals as a get rich quick thing. One solid strat slow and steady will make you a stack in 3-4 years. Dont rush to that full time bank cause once you get there youll have done it with bad habits
-
@martin-walker hi to all!!!i want to ask whitch strategy you think is better over1.5 or over2.5?
-
@darri totally agree. The bank is growing nicely and its hard to take a break sometimes. A lot to think about and work on. Thanks
-
@martin-walker then just do the SHGs on a weekend. I did a post today on the blog about how quickly a bank actually builds with just one rock solid strategy. No need to trade everything your filters say. Man management is just as vital and working within a good zone of efficiency will be far easier for you going forward. If your struggling for weekends and its due to trading too much then im being honest this is the best way as i discussed on the blog. Any good strategy were you influence what match you trade will allow for you to dip in and out otherwise youll never have a day off mate from worry itll affect your trading, slow and steady with good match selection is key and so is how you manage yourself, dont overstretch yourself. I know its hard when you have money making strats but no need to rush.
-
I dont really like dipping in and out of a strategy but what do you think about just not tading if my fhg gives out 4 at the same time
-
Its fhg thats the problem, shg never gives out to many games for me
-
@martin-walker thereβs a lot to be said for trading minimally over the weekend.
-
@martin-walker this is when trading plans and managing yourself well comes in. You have cracking strats you just maybe strecth yourself thin on a weekend. I actually make the vast majority of my profits on a weekend. Trading plans and managing how you trade is just as important as having loads of good strategies in your portfolio or youll not make best use of them. Maybe look to use them midweek or quiet days and then at weekends only use your main money earner. There is no reason you should be having dratsically different results from a midweek to a weekend if your doing the exact same process.
-
Actually looking at my results i could trade monday to friday take the weekends off and be better off than now
-
@darri i quite often win the first trade then trade all day to a bigger than weekday loss. Could do 1 trade and take the day off happy lol
-
@martin-walker if i ever have too much on i just stick to my best performing strategy
-
@darri possibly yes. This isnt a massive issue for me and doesnt effect me mentally im just trying to improve in an area ive spotted
-
@martin-walker i think this would then just be a case that your trading too many strategies and its affecting your efficiency. For weekends/busy days maybe only stick to your main strategy
-
@ryan-carruthers ive tracked the strategies for hundreds of games and they are now almost set and forget. I just check for anything obvious that would make me avoid it. The selections im ok with its just that they are so bunched up together at weekends that i feel i have too much money in the market at one time.
Zero problem trading them weekdays as its usually 1 or 2 a day. I had 4 fhg trades at 11am today for instance. Just need a way to maybe only trade 1 of them but track all 4. Im not sure if thats better or to just trade them all as its the same as me trading them spread out technically?
-
genuinely think a massive difference between the pro's and us beginners is the way they can happily trade 2 or 3 on a Saturday and be happy despite a plethora of games ... amongst other things of course !
-
Legia 0-2 down
-
@martin-walker whatβs your current process for choosing and managing which ones you do?
-
Looking back ive managed to be profitable for quite a few months now although i can pinpoint quite a few bad days always landing on a weekend.
Im probably overtrading these days but this is all stuff id genuinely trade any day of the week it just happens that theres more of it on weekends.
When i have a losing weekday it can be minus 1 or 2 points but then a weekend can easily rack up 4 or 5 losses with some wins.
All my strategies are well in profit so no need for drastic changes just looking for any tips anyone has for weekends. Say i have 5 fhg picks that i cant narrow down anymore than that, all kicking off at similar times. What would you do -
@liam-willis Yep pretty much my pattern lol, will have to focus on sat and reduce trades.
Right Im off to walk the faithful dogs Best of luck to all still going tonight. Catch you all tomorrow

@matt-wood see this a lot with newer traders at weekends. Please go take a look over my blog in the posts tab and have a little refresh before you go and do the same thing again. Key things for weekend trading: trading plans/research
Yep part of my plan for tomorrow morning Oddly only happens to me on a saturday, never a sunday
i went through that stage mate sunday was always the day making back the money i lost on a saturday. after talking to darri and martin saturdays are different, i dont trade nearly as many matches as i did, quality over quantity is the way forward.
