@martin-futter Might not be a bad idea for a blog/podcast - shortening a shortlist to become a workable trading plan for the day
-
@catalin-radu how did you get on most importantly? did you miss any opportunities due to the constant trading?
-
@catalin-radu Id say thats far far too many. Ive been there myself and it doesnt end well, theres no way of us fully focussing on 29 games. Yesterday was a busy day for sure and so many results came off the filters but everyone who has been doing it a while will say that figure needs to come right down. My initial shortlist was about 30 yesterday, I traded 6 games (and scalped a couple more to test)
If you put the same overall attention into say 7 games as you did to 29 then that is 4 times as much attention per game - think about how much better each trade would be if you gave it 4 times as much attention
-
Hi guys, how I'we told you before, I'm a beginner in trading. Yesterday I had 29 trades :), I think that are too many, but as I'm a beginner, the stakes are low, and I say that is for training what do you say?
-
Quite a few games today:
I wont trade all of these. In particular i will be cautious of Sweden & Norway as they get to the last few games of the season. I know a lot of people avoid leagues so late on but motivation is huge now, if you can play the situation correctly then its a good opportunity.
Sweden: Elfsborg are in 2nd place, 4 points clear in the play-offs so a win for them would secure that EL play-off spot. If they lose and Djurgarden in 4th spot win (kick off at the same time) then the pressure is really on for the last 2 games. They play bottom of the league so surely will fancy their chances. Helsingborg are bottom by 5 points so if they lose then they will be all but down; they would need to win their last 2 games and hope goteborg lose their last 3.
Norway: Odd are 4 points behind the EL play-off spot, they will want to win their game in hand to take them 1 point behind 3rd spot. Start are fighting relegation but only a couple of points off safety. Neither team can afford to lose so i will be very cautious of a closed game if 1-0 or 0-1. Stromsgodset are also fighting relegation so really need the points. If they are behind then id expect to see them go for it. Theyre playing a team who are 15 points clear. They could wrap up the league today, although theyve not really anything to lose. If either team are winning i would expect to see the other team going for it
So in those 3 games in particular i will be very conscious of the situation. These are from my filters so the stats are their from the previous games but i will want the action to reflect the situation

@matthew-biggins Completely understand what your saying. We've probably been on the right side of VAR this season so I can't complai too much but its the whole application in this country which is a joke.
The referees should have spent the initial lockdown getting to grips with VAR and understanding what they should and shouldn't be doing but they did nonthing. This season its has been worse that last year when you'd expect things to impove after the first season.
-
@matthew-biggins so so inconsistent it doesnt make sense to me. Unless they are doing it on purpose...sometimes checking things then other times not. Small potential offsides sometimes get left then other times they magnify it up to the size of a ball hair. Not all leagues that use Var are like ours. Others seem to use it well. Why are we so crap
-
@chris-osborne We had one not given away at Liverpool, I've counted at least 4 similar handballs which have been given since.
Then again, we had already been given a penalty in that game so clearly we'd been awarded our quota for the season.
I think these frustrations are compounded by the fact I can't actually go to the games. I can't help thinking, I'd much rather watch us in the Championship if I have to watch every game on the TV. For me the only thing I prefer about the Premier League is that feeling that every game is absolutely massive, but if I can't be in the ground, it loses it's appeal very quickly.
-
@john-hurst It's West Brom having one ruled out that got me. It's a stonewaller. It's certainly not clear and obvious enough for it to be overturned. Does the clear and obvious thing even exist anymore.
Be interesting to see if as much is made of this one as the Liverpool one. I highly doubt it, I certainly dont think West Brom will be able to have David Coote re-assigned to another game.
There's not only different rules all over Europe, their appears to be different rules in the Premier League depending on the teams
-
@john-hurst The biggest issue for me other than the clueless referees in the Prem, is the handball rule no one has any idea what it is any more
-
@matthew-biggins they need to scrap that penalty rule. Almost impossible to move now for a keeper. Seen that one for the scots the other day- their keeper was about a yard off his line but they let it stand. I know they dont have var in that but surely rules are rules? seems to be mixed rules all over europe now. Needs sorting
-
@chris-osborne It's not even just Man U though mate. The sooner the big 6 p**s off to their European Super League, the better. Let the rest of us get back to football without this ridiculous circus every single week.

VAR supposed to be evening everything up in the Premier League apparently......
Absolutely farcical at Old Trafford again
By evening up do you mean the only way Man Utd can do anything is by getting all the dodgy VAR decisions in there favour.
Managers and players need to join forces and get it scrapped from our game at the end of the season not that the FA will ever make that decision
