The BTC Football Trading Thread

I use this forum as a guide and it helps. At the end of the day I make my own decisions, I dont post any of my trades because I dont know enough to do that. But its invaluable to me for learning. Plus its sort of social
-
See, I thought posting on here added an extra layer of accountability to my own trading. I've never considered it as a 'tip' for someone else to follow, but maybe that was a bit naive. Had plenty of ups and downs, so hopefully not cost anyone too much.
Also, I've had advice from traders directly off the back of posting trades here so, for me that's been really helpful.

Iād never follow a ātipā on here without having a look first and it then itās my responsibility nobody elseās. Thatās how it has to be or youāll never learn
also the issue you will always have is that you get upset because you lost money and it wasn't even your trade.
quite a few people have spreadsheets so if you really do want to follow 'cold' then at least view the past results, may make it easier to accept a bad day when you see it has at least performed well to date
-
Most people who tip on here are experienced traders who are profitable, only reason I donāt post is because I want to prove to myself Iām profitable for a good few months first.
-
@ben-dobie yep been a few let downs today, maybe that the xmas period could be having an affect on results with teams being tired, looked it in the city game and leipzig around the +88 min mark, both had great chances to finish the game but just lacked it due to fatigue

problem i am finding is peole are keen to post selections and lists but dont provide evidence that their lists are profitable or successful.
and so members are losing money from it.
it would be nice to have a seperate forum for expereinced traders to post only but also back up what they say with their results recorded so people can follow with confidence knowing that they are successful selections.
If you stipulate that, people will be discouraged from posting. No posting=no learning.
This place then loses its main attraction. As Lee says, and everyone who posts a trade on here, do due diligence before making a selection.

@matt-wood still a few left today mate, and Iām gonna stick with it , missed a couple last night through giving up

the advice we give is test first before following anything, so if you follow someone on here you really should test their picks for a while first so you are comfortable with it. remember it's you who places the trade nobody else

@ben-dobie keep patient and stick to your plans, there are loads of games this weekend so dont get bogged down with a slow start to sat. Iv had a few games today with some absolute crazy sitters missed, its just part of trading, just keep to my plans and ill come out good end of it
@Darri oh Iām ok with it mate, itās all about the bigger picture just mad the way so many that shouldnāt end up going against you one after another. Last Sunday was completely the opposite so it is what it is, Iāll be sticking to the plan
-
@gary-brown I think the onus is on people to check the selections are posted before trading them. Theres not a chance many will want to have to prove themselves before posting matches
-
@matt-wood wow how have you done that bud? whats are you trading, id be happy to help as that seems like too big a swing on your p/l

Ordinarily I'd lay the U2.5 at Admira & Sturm Graz in Austria when they hit 1.80 but going to take a break before the evening games.
