My over 2.5 watchlist for today:
Will only play if 0-0 23-30 mins or 1-0/0-1 at HT with good IP stats. Will lay under 2.5 for 1pt and take out the red at any point that allows me to leave 0.5pt on the overs. If 2 goals or more needed at 80 mins I'll lay the next goal unders for my current liability to scratch the trade.
Not a good day today with these, mainly due to lack of FH goals. But, warts and all summary.....
15/27 went over 2.5 (with Genk still in play). Most had goals too early but trades I entered:
Jablonec - Winning trade + 0.62pt
Chievo - Scratch Trade
Augsburg - Scratch trade with late goal
Leipzig - Losing trade with no late goal -0.78pt
Luton - Losing trade with no late goal -0.87pt
Nice - Winning trade +0.56pt
Lech Poznan - Losing trade with no late goal -1.06pt
Total = Loss 1.53 points.Taking the day off tomorrow with family commitments but hopefully online for the evening games.

@darri i definitely pushed a bit too hard today, maybe let a few things slip. Will have to have a think about it tonight.

@martin-walker so therefore its the trades and not the time, can you see from the games today the ones youd trade again and the ones you wouldnt? lets say you have a bad run of 10 games in a given strategy it doesnt matter if it was 3 days during the week or just on the sat because your trading more games. Its the quantity of trades. Everyone believes that weekends should be there most profitable and go full on short term view (not saying you have here bud) but its def what i used to do. So they end up pushing it for one more trade just to get in profits or claw money back. Trading is a long game. The fact you have built such a decent month is due to your long term view outside of saturdays pushes. So just channel that mindset into them here. 8 hrs is sizeable session and you could cut that down, im offering you that advice instead of cutting away time frames rather than trades. Its mindset, hopefully you get what im saying

1-2 now. Can't catch a FH goal then 3 come in the same match

@darri i think break even or loss is harder to take after 8 hours for me compared to weeknights where i may trade 1 or 2 games.
Youre right though if every trade won today id be saying it was well worth it

@martin-walker thing is would you be saying this if you had a profitable day? think long term it will even itself out and youll come up trumps by sticking to how you trade games, there is zero reason a weekend day either sat or sunday shoudlnt be just as good if not better for you. Its all just mindset between weekends and weekdays

@darri yeah its been a long hard day for zero gain as it stands. 18 points up this month so im ok with it. Just something to work on. Always looking to improve

@martin-walker i would def say thats too long at the screen iv spent about 2 hrs all day watching football, thats with trades starting at 10.30 this morning, bound to cause harm to your trading decisions

its no coincidence that people struggle when more games are presented but its fixable. Its because they just accept whats on the filters and trade them all in fomo. Try to pinpoint your best trades that given day be it a monday, thursday or saturday. Build consistency in how your finding games. When its a quiet weekday and your in profits is that because your focusing on less games? yes so make that your aim for weekends too. I trade more on weekends than i do weekdays but my selection process is the same and its rarely unmanageable. Remember that post i did the other week on my blog, do that with your list and try to limit risk. Being less efficient with how you manage busy days is just as bad a habit as any. can really harm those even with good strategies if they arent able to manage their matches well. Hope this helps a bit

@darri ive been watching the prem games fully and trading at the same time. My trades havnt been too much of a problem today as ive broke even. Its just the length of time i have a problem with. I think i might choose a time frame from now on. Maybe start at the 4pm games and do something away from football and trading during the day

@martin-walker wow 8 hrs at the screen? are you watching the full games? i try to only watch the last 30 mins of games.
For me what id say is thats more a mindset thing, about spending 8hrs for break even, its less about the time of trades and more the focussing of games itself. Each trade should be done the exact same way you would any other day otherwise we lose consistency, if we act differently in how we select games we start to lose that, and thats why people struggle at weekends when too many games are on and they lose focus. -
If i had just traded a smaller timeframe like the evening like i do weekdays id be massively up. Instead ive done about 8 hours for break even. Something to think about for tomorrow.

Up and down day, hovering around break even. Cant get that last trade over the line to finish up for the day after fighting back from several losses

after an unlucky start in the goztepe game to say the least
we fought back and are now break even for the day by following the plan set out at start of day. Iv got 2 games im watching left and lets try bag a winner and end the day on a high
