One thing i've done recently with the first half goals is putting a late lay with an extra 10% of my stake at 1.06/1.07 on the under.
Need to track it a bit longer but it's already profited from a few late winners.
@Daniel-Mills good idea this mate

@matt-wood I meant having to put him first mate not the Sonny Liston hook to the old low hangin fruit.

@matt-wood i think the btc guys have said this also, your always learning especially on a forum with differing viewpoints. Yes you eventually veer in a certain direction but sometimes being humble and soaking up others views can help. For me this one was done with tracking my results, which everyone should do and hopefully this is a good example, it a direct result from my blog post the other day

@darri wonder if it's worth having a look at a couple of trades using those spreadsheets you can get from betfair to see what the odds would have been on the draw instead of lcs.
I was on the atletico one too, been a great few days so far.

@daniel-mills as long as i dont change why i enter and maintain the strike rate this will be more profitable than it was before. Its nothing different in terms of my strategy of picking games its just changing it from lcs to ltd, didnt think it was this much difference was far too comfortable with lcs as it was consistent but this is potentially way bigger-probably was too lazy to change
Its a great example of why we should never rest on our laurels. Even if you are a profitable trader you should always be ready and looking for ways to adapt if you need to. Obviously I'm just a newbie but this will be something I hold onto for the future.

@james-woodroffe yep all i did here was remove red on the goal and waited till hartberg being home fav came into a nice lay position to green up all results, probz wouldnt let austrian league run crazy league. The thing with trading is you have to commit time to it if your going into a trading session it needs your focus if you need to trade out, so if you have the wee man kicking about no reason not to keep at the lcs keep it simple for yourself, just bare in mind tho the 0-0 analysis i did the other day i made way more profit doing ltd today than lcs on same result. Considering we trade roughly same time and games this will be same id reckon

@matt-wood if you look at ryans list for today he does do 3pms he just focusses on a small amount, i had city and rangers on my list, zoning in a finding the quality games works anyday of the week and works best on weekends when you see a noticeable difference
Yea I can see the benefit of this way, I just need to learn to trust myself in my selections. At the moment I am too hesitant about 'picking one or two from my filter results' as Im fearful I will pick the wrong ones through ignorance. Still I think this will only come to me through experience and actually trying it.

@darri I gotta look into this LTD also I think now I just LCS thru not only force of habit but if I get “Dadded” it’s still a bit easier to just LCS. Maybe it’s something that will work for me better on a Sunday as I mentioned to @Matt-Wood just before.
But 'Blue-ball' syndrome = successful trades
Seriously though mate, I know what it is like, I taught a kids martial arts class for years and had a fair few of those incidents

@matt-wood i only trade the 3pms i can watch or that are extremely strong on the filters or in my opinion a stand out game. 3pm doesnt mean a game wont be able to be traded its just you need to cut down on so many as youll never be able to focus on so many at a time. Pick a couple that you like, if they dont qualify then at least your focus was only on a few and would be well managed.
Yes, I kinda had this in mind too. Think I will end up going this way with it as saturdays are free for me. Will just have to be SUPER picky about what is actually traded.
-
I think I'm going to leave anything other than @Alan-Steward's second half goal trades today and just collect data. I didn't have a massive amount to look at this morning anyway.

@matt-wood I could be wrong mate but I think Ryan has skipped them for ages also. Can’t speak for Richard but when I first started, FOMO definitely. We have a thing at our house where Saturday is do something day and if that means skipping 3pm then so be it and Sunday is do FA day and I find Sunday to be A more productive and B less stressful but that’s just for me.
How can a do FA day be productive ? haha Now you mention it I think I remember Ryan saying somewhere that he doesnt do sat afternoons. I am very tempted to cut them out as well. Think tomorrow morning I will go through my records for sat pms and see whats what.
-
@darri not too far off. I'd put down for 1.4 before I saw you'd posted. Started looking at it after @James-Woodroffe posted (great shout)
Looks like some legs on this late LTD, very decent green.

I will say, I benefited from staying out of the 3pm games which I have done for ages now. Never ever seemed to make a profit on all these English leagues in the 3pm melee.
Did you suffer FOMO when you started this? I have thought about just not trading sat afternoons at all
Prob still do to be fair but that's not my main problem anymore haha!
