@james-rome Hi James, I am new to the site ( week one) and thats what I was looking at, I have noticed how many games don't score in the first 10 mins but its guess work f its not backed up by stats. I would be interested if you came up with a filter because this was the question I was going to pose to the group but you beat me to it.
-
@chris-osborne thanks ill take a look now.
-
@martin-walker I haven't got enough games to judge either way but in @martin-futter's master sheet its showing a 78.81% strike rate with 72% needed for breakeven
Also, @Alan-Steward posted yesterday as to the results he's been tracking on this strategy, link in his signature for some reason my lap top is on a go slow so can't refer to it but might be worth a look

Hi
Does anyone trade U2.5 goals ? Ive just started trying out a filter going to use 2 pound stakes to i hit 100 games to see if its profitable over a long period of time. I was just woundering with time decay methods is it scaleable ? atm i am looking to get in and out and take 10 percent profit of my stake. So roughly after 7 to 10 min at 2 pound stakes can cash out for 10 percent. If i increase the stakes will it be the same i.e 10 pound stakes aftet 7 to 10min take 1 pound profit
-
@chris-osborne thanks, do you know how many points it returns a month?
-
I quite like it, it’s not going to be a big earner but most of the time brings in steady profits.
I try and follow the process although there are occasions where the odds are too low to place the first part in which case I’ll wait.
A lot of the time there’s a goal after the first part is placed which is fine, I won’t necessarily cash out straight away, I might leave it running until ht hoping for the 2nd goal or raise a free bet if the odds make it worthwhile.
My only problem with the strategy is forgetting to cash out around 70 mins from time to time if no goals.
-
@chris-osborne do you run it straight from the filter, no changes and hows it going?
Looking for a potential side strategy to add as set and forget style with not too much effort.
Thanks

@bottlabroon can't disagree with any of that although the Fergie thing was also part of a really aggressive recruitment strategy at Youth level in the build up to introducing them and he managed the likes of Pallister, Robson, Bruce and when to let them leave whilst having benefitted from there experience been passed on. It was brave and as you say took the club sticking with him .. often amazes me that the most glaring example of all time regarding sticking with a manager when you can see whats happening behind the scenes leads to the most sucessful of all time yet pretty much every club owner ignores it and keeps changing things.. thats football
-
@mark-maguire Difference is Fergie was well established by the time he did that and knew he had the backing of David Gill. Lampard knows that Abramovic will have him out of the door if he finishes trophyless this season which, unfortunately, breeds a short term thinking mindset.
Ole is changing that at United with an emphasis on buying younger players but integrating and playing them is something entirely different and it remains to be seen if he can actually do that. It's rare for managers of clubs expected to be challenging for honours to be afforded the luxury of blooding these youngsters, every game is vital when they know they are 1 poor run away from the sack.
The other point I always bear in mind when talking about Fergie's class of 92 is that it occured during the time we had heavy restrictions on foreign players in European matches, even the Scots & Welsh were classed as 'foreigners'. Many of those lads were playing Champions league football before even cementing their place in the 1st team which, to me, played a big part in their development.
-
@ben-dobie agree completely and feels like a missed chance for Chelsea to have built a dynasty a bit like when United introduced the kids.. albeit it could still come good of course
-
@mark-maguire makes sense this mate, hate it when kids have done well then they just get bombed out when purse strings are opened

Wow Chelsea surely they'll stick with Frank?
I hope so, otherwise Rodgers will be top of there list and we have the makings of something special with what is a young team other than Schmeichel, Evans and Vardy
I’m biased but we completely outplayed them for most of the game last night.
-
@Ryan-Carruthers biggest threat is bad apples, same in any walk of life and .. think @Martin-Futter described in the BTC Academy videos how you guys had to deal with someone here to protect the environment - and its exactly that except exaggerated ten fold.. in terms of how to spot it.. internally and externally there will be signs. How to teams celebrate goals? Together or separately, what are they like warming up .. having a joke and hammering each other when they are doing their stretching or disinterested, whats the energy in the warm up.. often you can tell if your teams going to have a bade day from the warm up. Whats the language in the press.. on message or selfish .. loads of stuff internally of course but its really delicate stuff to manage, can't force a spirit ..
-
@ryan-carruthers I was thinking that about him last night, he’s a proper sulker. They’ve got so many good individuals but it’s just not clicking is it. Pulisic is a cracking player
-
@mark-maguire How do you go about building/spotting that togetherness
-
@Ryan-Carruthers think thats massive in football - nurturing a squad, protecting the togetherness.. I can tell you from first hand experience that for example qt one club the first season if you went to the training ground they were all having lunch in cliques on separate tables and results were average at best, following season two changes of personell.. two players left essentially and suddenly all on one table great togetherness.. we got promoted.
It works in reverse and now so much has to be done on recruitment of personality as well as ability .. Fergie was obviously brilliant at that.. the moment they got too big they were gone
-
@mark-maguire Now yes that is a solid view, imagine how it would feel you bust your gut then in comes the so called stars - who aren't really cutting it, it must be like where's the thanks we get ey?
-
@ryan-carruthers @Ben-Dobie I'd argue worst thing that happened was lifting of the transfer ban.. Frank started by inspiring/motivating a group of young players finally getting their chance after years of development and loans elsewhere, built a great spirit which will have been decimated by all the spending .. now they seem to have tried to integrate young players and I guess demoralised the spirit that was there.. May settle down if he gets time but needs some experience .. what price John Terry...
