@dan-mackinnon yeah they have only confirmed this part of the 24/25 season so far, the league format/progression to knockout stages, match dates etc are to be discussed.
-
@darri They've been talking about that for a while. Also UEFA want to change from midweek CL games to weekend which means the PL might be reduced from 20 to 18 teams and FA Cup games moved to midweek. It's basically to stop the "big teams" from getting knocked out early doors by some of these plucky underdogs like Ajax who have only won the CL a measily 4 times!
-
People seen the new champs league format for 24/25 season? Basically one big league each team plays 10 games, then the knockouts, super 36 teams same planned for europa league

@james-rome what to do mate is think of a good period of time that will allow for your bank to go through both good and bad runs of variance. For me i can have good and bad days/weeks. So anything shorter than a monthly bank adjustment is not gonna work for me personally. Again like chris says its all personal preference you either aggressively build or slow and steady increases. Aggressive will swing more up and down and slow and steady is consistently up. For me i cope better with consistent things happening on a consistent basis, helps mentally.
So using your example with the £1k bank what i would do is every trade that month is then using the same set bank. So 1pt of the bank is £10 ill then use £10 for every single trade that month regardless if my bank goes up or down in between. Then at the start of next month or however long youd like, change what 1 point or 1% of bank is so say we up that to £1200 now a point can = £12 and so on. Personally i like to wait till iv doubled the bank as that allows not only for my trades to have variance cycles but also all my individual strategies can then have good and bad periods and i shouldnt notice any decline to bank when im then upping my stakes. However i trade 2 sports so you could do 50%/50 points profit instead before you change staking. I definitely wouldn't be doing it per trade or per day, wont get away with that with inplay football trading, could with scalping not with inplay swing trades tho, like you are doing.

@james-rome it’s personal preference, some people advocate changing monthly or weekly, personally I have a staking calculation which I update weekly with my current bankroll and I go from there.
It’s going to get messy and confusing if you change on every trade especially at the weekend.
thats good because ive not been doing that for every trade and the thought just popped in my head last night when filling in my sheets. haha i thought i been doing it wrong i was just tracking the acutal money won or lost before not points so just starting and wanted to check i was doing it right

Hi Guys
I hope you dont mind me asking this as it will be a very dumb question but i just want to check i am record points win/loss correctly.
So I am just to use the example below if someone could comfirm i am doing the right thing that would be great. So I have two games KO tonight at the same time.
So for easy lets say I have £1000 bank and going to back a goal market with odds of 2 for 1 point before KO.
Match 1 - Place £10 bet (1 point ). Now bank becomes £990
Match 2 - Does this mean i now place a bet of £9.90 as that is one point of current bank ?I know this will seem easy to you all but i believe its better to ask stupid questions then sit there confused so any help would be greatly appreicated

@lee-woodman
Nah, they take seconds to dream up. Anything remotely grubby, involving cheating is plausible.

I agree 3rd/4th going to change numerous times. Got a deja vu feeling from last year. We finish the season with Chelsea, Utd and Spurs we need to start picking up points starting tomorrow v WBA
-
@Stuart-Capstick you know its bad when UEFA and FIFA come out with the moral high ground most corrupt and unethical bodies going
-
@stuart-capstick Ha Ha, have you been dreaming about these when you go to bed?! I think it was just a way to get their own way with UEFA, just what big players do every year in flirting with other clubs to get a massive contract. Basically ‘look after us or we’ve got other options’. The universal backlash from fans, even of the clubs involved, has caused a massive rethink.... and rightly so. I’m embarrassed as a fan that United did it but with that idiot Woodward running the show it doesn’t surprise one bit. Can’t wait for him to go!
-
Conspiracy theory 2
Agnelli, Woodward and some other guys just put this out to make a killing on the rise in share prices of the clubs involved. Woodward wanted to leave but Glazers wouldn't stump enough, so they concocted this ESL, rumours sent share prices soaring, Woodward was given some prior to the announcement, quids in.
Basic swing trading.
Not as fanciful as the first one. Bit boring really.

-
@stuart-capstick I agree with you, straight away the investment bank who were involved with the champions league went from 4.2 billion to 6 billion package to take on this new league - crazy.
