    Nice!

For me, it’s not really about the 3pm kick off time, it’s actually about the leagues. For my strategies the SR of the English leagues below the prem are not great tbh and have removed them. Interested to reassess when backtesting becomes available tho!

@chris-king A psychological danger that comes with the 3pm slot is that if you have a mad amount of trades on at the same time, you might end up taking 4 or 5 losses at once, and that feels way worse that it really is. That sent me on tilt a few times.

Made a decision today to commit to no longer trading, or trying to trade (in vain) the vast majority of UK Saturday 3pm Kick Offs.
Trying to manage the volume of matches when narrowing down selections or juggling the trades in play is not enjoyable.
I can’t seem to find anything in my data that overwhelmingly says I should be trading this match time over any other.
I think the only time I’ll consider a trade at this time is if a filter throws up 1-2 selections/an amount i can feasibly manage. Already feels like a weight has been lifted.

For what its worth I disciplined myself to complete the full training course of videos on BTC at the very start.. took notes throughout and it generated questions which ended up being part of my strategies and disciplines which I still use today. Even the stuff that seems simple is worth pursuing and perhaps worth saying that in a 'profession' which requires discipline.. taking yourself through the course start to finish is a great place to begin.

I'd personally recommend doing that to everyone.. just my humble opinion.

If and when I get some time I will certainly do so for other sports.

Plus - as a bonus you get to see the boy band in action ☺

Or even better you can use the search feature on this forum 🙂 I put in 'Football Software Training' and this is the first post that popped up: https://forum.betfairtradingcommunity.com/topic/3794/football-software-stats-training-videos

I have a question regarding my method:

If my SHG filter is giving me a strike rate of between 83 and 85% after 9 months of data, does it really matter about the additional research that I do?

I'll do it anyway, because I like to feel confident and informed about each trade, but other than my own sense of comfort, am I achieving anything by spending 60-90 minutes on Sat and Sun morning doing confirmatory research?

Got these SHG candidates for tonight:

After some research and looking at the game/stats in play, I'll indicate at HT if I've backed it.

    @ryan

Hi Ryan, are there any videos on how to use the soccer stats software at all? I've playing around with it and just want to fully understand it.

    Many thanks

@Ryan Even if there were any I'd avoid them today .. its started with my iPhone corrupting during a software update (still won't recover) so I thought sod it I'll have a coffee.. and the bloody Nespresso machine stopped half way through and gave up.. I don't know which is worse.... well I do actually (I'm tempted to eat a Nespresso capsule raw 😂 )....... update.. my eight year old is staying with me in France.. she decided to make herself juice ice cubes last night.. fine I said as I traded.. I just went to the freezer compartment ... its completely pink.. top to bottom pink... surely Ryan and Martin have done some sort of video on this stuff ? 😂

This is like my days now, good to see they don't change as they get older! lol

I am a big fan of the Nespresso as well 😄

    The phone working yet?

Nice knowledge mate, Sporting also lost to Porto 0-2 last home game so some reconciliation I reckon over a lesser side.

No stats behind this at all .. so I post it cautiously .. I was impressed by Monaco and the kid Ben Seghir will be a top level player .. just seen he's on the bench ..along with Ben Yedder who scores goals. if they are still in it as the match progresses, may look at laying Leverkusen to qualify .. 2.44 at present. Even if Leverkusen score first I'd be tempted by another drip. its been a while for Monaco but they've unearthed a couple of very exciting players and as I've said before watch out for this Ben Seghir kid.. didn't give a hoot about 60,000 Marseille fans baying for his blood and absolutely ran the game.
