@daniel-cooper 40-50% seen a few horror stories of people being on the bad end of fraud. The other reasons are i like to make use of all my bank and as such i stake more aggressively to make more use of bank. I think i see all too often people having it all in betfair and only ever utilising around 10-20% which then means 80-90% of your money could have been used elsewhere or those trades. There is that fine balance between risk/reward but sometimes being too cautious is just backwards thinking. If your past the 10k mark then there is so many thing that you can use that money for so it can also grow while your engaged portion of bank is on betfair. Many ways to tackle this. For me the best roi i have is betfair, so makes sense to use most of my bank on actual trades and strategies rather than just sitting around doing nothing for me. Other angles for your money that could make your backup money ticking along, index funds, dividend stocks, ebay selling, peer to peer lending etc. If betfair is not your main source of income then maximise this. I can see why if this was your sole income why youd be defensive with it but its all about roi and maximising your edge if you have one, anything else is just backwards and too defensive in my opinion. Basically having it all on betfair is only useful if your going to make use of more than 50% of it over a month or so otherwise its not doing anything for you and just too defensive and for me pointless, may aswell have just staked more or invested elsewhere.

@daniel-cooper I keep my full trading bank in Betfair and only remove profits, if any once a month as they will often impose deposit limits on the account which can be a pain in the arse

I would guess at 25-50% with the rest invested elsewhere. Thats my plan one day in the distant future
