Thought I had it then. Stupid score corrections haha!

LCS in the Coleraine v Linfield match. Not a bad match. Itβs on BBC website or the iPlayer if anyone wants to watch it. About 500 fans are allowed to attend. You can hear the abuse being shouted at the officials

there has been some great advice on here today not just for richard but for everyone, i was definitely in the over complicating camp, im getting better and trying hard to stick to one strategy while paper trading others, i was going to say its not easy but it should be, keeping things simple should be easy. nothing is ever perfect and i think when you realise that everything else falls into place, well for me i think anyway.
-
@richard-latimer yes mate I get what you're saying about not totally wanting to follow somebody else for fear of them maybe moving on or not posting anymore but I'm talking about the here and now... You can follow Keith or Darri's picks for now and make some money right now... Ryan's filter will be there for as long as BTC and that's the filter I feel you should focus on... May not be your ideal trade but done correctly it will make you money... Can't add anymore than that mate we all want you to succeed but surely you want to make some green while you perfect yours???
Catch you later

@darri I think that's why I'm looking into the viability of the over 1.5 using my own selections. A less complex, more tried and trusted method while I reinvent the wheel in my spare time.
I'm not drowning but I may run out of time and end up drowning elsewhere haha!!
Rest assured I have evolved massively and take so much on board.
Thanks all.
Mate these words here are the ones that concern us most "using my own selections" if you're using Keiths selections just copy and paste... Don't try to improve on them he is bloody good at what he does... Then like we're all saying once you're profitable tweak them then.
Come on mate you can do this... Nice and simple does... Copy & Paste!!!
Was going to respond to the last message but here will do just as well. It's not that I'm averse to copying.. I did it for years and years! Perhaps this will help somebody with a similar mindset to my own
I first explored betting properly through an ebook on ebay promising if I started out making as little as Β£1 every day I'd soon be a millionnaire!!!!
I then found a US site called TheRX were loads of cappers posted and I set to following a whole bunch. Naturally that goes tits up too as everybody has a bad day from time to time.
I then found some other sites where I became a valued membr of the community but I only ever followed. Never try and do anything for myself.
I set to following just one or two and they make money as do I.....but then of course......they don't post one day and I fret and stress. When this happens I'd inevitably take a punt on some things after a bit of research or follow someone else. Almost always to detriment.
At around this time I managed to get someone to help me with casino bonuses as well playing blackjack. Rinse repeat, rinse repeat, come away with money.
I didn't make as much as was expected but did make some and I should have given him a cut. I'm not proud of this but I never did. I ploughed it all into horse laying if I remember rightly, probably following someone else. Staking way too high and from getting above Β£1,000 I lost it all in dribs and drabs.
I'm not 100% of the exact timeline but at some point I found punterslounge, followed a few regulars and through debate met someone on there who was going to make me loads. So much promise, so many strats, but the money never materialised and I lost touch with him over time. There was the linked site where people would post tips. Only really any good if you can get it before the odds move. Same with any posted standard tips. Early bird catches the worm and the value. Late to the party you get the dregs.
Napster, laying tipsters. DREGS (laying certain red top tipsters)
There was OLBG and various other forums. Always the same outcome. Follow, prosper for a bit, lose. Either because they stop posting or you realise it's just not as good as you think.
If I'd found this place earlier I'm 100% positive I would be ahead of the curve and still a young man by the time I cracked it. Not just someone the blue rinsers still call young man.
It's not pure stubborn can't see reason for no reason. I decided a long time ago if I was going to do this I couldn't rely on anyone. The ELO thing failed probably largely down to COVID but ultimately it was based on ratings and an algorithm which would never belong to me so even then it was relying on something beyond my control. Simple stats are mine and I can never lose them. Only reason for failure is me and that's kind of the way I like it. It's not to say I've accepted failure, this couldn't be further from the truth.
my success will be my own helped by all of you but it will be mine and no one will ever be able to take it away from me.
Split stake relies on too many entries. I just want to be able to get in and move on rather than having to make 2 potential entries and a potential exit. Mentally I've always hated redding as well. Not sure that's something I'll ever get past. Just the kind of trader I am I suppose.
I honestly looked and thought that with around 550 selections over 5 months and an 86% s/r over 1.5 this is pretty solid. It's not what I collected the data for but this has been the difference since using the smart filters. Data I would have thrown away in years gone by has been kept and looks potentially good for more than one use.
In terms of the other thing I'm developing, yes, this may take way more time than I have now. I don't see anything wrong with thinking outside the box (hell, pretty much any pioneer in any field has had to do this or nothing new would ever exist and everybody would always do things exactly the way they have).
However....and it'd a BIG HOWEVER....
I guess you need to make sure the box you have is pretty decent and that you can actually get inside it before you try and think outside of it.

Hey Keith! For clarification, is this the only game on the selections for this today? Or are you including the Irish games too?
This is the only game.
The Irish games are just my own reflections. I may lay Under 1.5 goals in the Larne v Glentoran match, but irrespective of the result, it should not be in our listing.

@keith-anderson great write up mate, these 1.5s are on and given summer leagues i reckon this will follow in the same pattern if not better looking forward to them hitting my filters soon

@richard-latimer i think thats the point we are making you dont need to drown at all, we already have so many good strats on here already. Dont try adapt anything just use them. Ryans list is on everyday, keith keeps posting his everyday so too does stuart. There really is no need to be battling anything. Just keep it simple. Earn while your learn. Your thing will take time to develop and hopefully over time it beats all those other strats, but in mean time just make some easy money with these.
Then while those run work on yourself and your own takes on these. I just can see that the messages dont really seem to resonate that much when we do this ever so often, it is a recurring thing, but we keep trying, we arent saying to adapt them we are saying just do them as they are. Its great your in a more focussed space and the motivation for this is there still, but that line of your running out of time could easily be helped by just doing as we suggest. Then in long term you can build your own and make more, dont tweak them just do them they already make money, dont fix something that aint broke. We all too often try to get too granular when we already have something that works and is consistent, its like people trying to invest in individual stocks rather than just an index fund, your just making it harder for yourself.
My strategies are my own but i took ages to develop them. They are now working well for me. These things take time, in the starting phase of testing your strats arent as optimised as those already out there use them before jumping to yours. Hopefully long term yours become better than the ones you used. I keep refreshing my portfolio as i test new strats. But its taken me 2 years to get to this position, in those years i too battled needlessly against thing i didn't need to battle just to make profit. Dont do it the hard way. Keep it stupid simple by using the already proven ones from consistently profitable strats, keiths is fairly new so you could just do ryans and stuarts. Stuarts varies but i believe both make around 5-6 %/points on average so thats at least 10%/points a month and in the background you can be building your own. We wouldnt be advising this if we didnt know it worked mate. Its also from 3 of the most popular inplay football traders too, not just a throwaway comment from either of us.
Anyway like i said the messages we give you all get the same reply, and i guess thats truly because you need to learn these things from your own experience which is fair enough, we are only trying to help you avoid doing that as its not necessary and your missing a very easy learning/earning process right now, which would help your situation.

@richard-latimer like keith has just said we all keep trying to give good advice to you over the years. Its kind of a recurring pattern for you with what your attempting to do being too complicated. I mean that sheet you post showing all the different scenarios your looking at fills a whole page on this forum on your posts, it is way too overdone and i cant even imagine how that translates on a busy weekend. Yes not all games are qualifying but its the process. Iv had my chats with you over on your blog but its good to now also see that others who are also long term consistently profitable suggesting exactly the same things as i did. Hopefully this will help you seeing and hearing this. We all know why your trying trading like this, trust us we have been there too. Alans quote is very true battling the tide when you have plenty of proven profitable strats already at your fingertips, so that in the background you can make your own strategy in the long term whilst being long term profitable with a proven strat. Right now you keep tweaking a new strategy every game week removing and adding new things all the time. Its at these stages you dont really want to be committing money to it. Even more so given the situation with money and fam your in. Testing can be done in the background while you could be doing say for example, keiths 1.5 picks and stuarts ltd picks, both of which are implemented pre match and require no time at the comp, so you can work on other things. We care about you mate and arent pestering you for no reason, we all just want everyone to be profitable. Its been years of a recurring theme and we just finally want to try help you.

Lay Under 1.5 Goals:
20:15 - KR Reykjavik v Kopavogur
I'd be surprised if the odds get that low.
All eyes are on the Irish Premier League tonight. My team (Glentoran) are away to Larne. If we win we clinched European Qualification. We aren't in great form if I'm honest. Larne played in the Irish Cup Final at the weekend and lost. Larne are an emerging side. They've been bought by one of the brothers that owns 'Purple Bricks'. They are Northern Irish and where born in Larne, before moving to the South Coast of England.
Crusaders v Cliftonville - is a North Belfast derby. Normally produces goals.
Coleraine v Linfield - Linfield need a point to clinch the league. Linfield are our bitter rivals and trophy wise, one of the most successful sides in the world. Bastards! The Irish Football Association have been giving Linfield an advantage, pretty much since the start. Linfield rent out their ground for Northern Ireland matches. They also used to get a cut of TV rights and ticket sales. Some say Linfield where getting as much as Β£1.5 million a year - That's massive considering most teams in the Irish League where making significant losses. The Larne owner likened it to the English FA renting out Old Trafford and paying Man United around Β£250 million per year. That is the equivalent.
With Larne going full-time. My own club have been bought over by a Welsh - Iranian businessman. We are also full-time. The tables are turning. Next season will be a cracker!!

@richard-latimer Exactly what I thought mate... Right now it isn't profitable and that's fine but for now while you're tweaking it make some profit from Ryan's filter and trade leagues which convert at minimum 80% (from qualifying games)...
You're swimming against the tide mate and it will eventually drown you... Make profit first and look to reinvent the wheel later
Love the final line here from.... Make profit first and look to reinvent the wheel later.... great advice from @Alan-Steward

Okay... My shower room is calling... Have been working on stats and trading too much and my DIY is taking longer than it should so with a quiet spell looming I will crack on... She's starting to get annoyed lol

@richard-latimer Yes mate but how much profit does that filter generate right now?
Because if it isn't then when the winter leagues start back up again jump on Ryans Split Stake filter... Follow specific leagues (the leagues you will have time to follow) and make some profit each month!!!
Trading is as simple or as complicated as we wish to make it... You appear to always be looking for the latter... I know because I've been there!!!
You're good enough and experienced enough to trade Ryans Split Stake... Now go follow it... Trade it... And make some profit.
You can do this but you must focus mate... Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am 100% focused. More than I've ever been I can assure you.
