@chris-osborne unfortunately I don't disagree with you, I think it's a huge risk and this season could be quite open.
From a trading perspective I don't think (or hope) we will in a position say 10 games from now that still have us as 2nd favourites for the drop. I also just wanted to make the point that just because Brentford beat Arsenal it doesn't mean a trip to us is a guaranteed 3 points so could both our odds change if Palace can put in a decent performance this weekend?

@doug-sharp I like the arsenal shout
Totally disagree with Bruce comment though rafa and Bruce situations totally different. Not speaking for all toon fans but a big thing is Bruce takes alot of pops at fans but then turns and around and says he's one of our own. Bruce isn't the answer and we going backwards we have no style of play and we play defensive but we can't defend we play 5 at the back but still give up so many chances. The problem is Bruce is a terrible manger but under Ashley even if Bruce gets sacked be the same again another manger like Bruce. Until he sells this it
Only got rafa as he approached the club then made him wait a week when in a relegation battle
-
Arsenal at 29/1 aren't a bad shout to be in relegation battle those odds could shorten dramatically, they've got some tough games coming up ,Chelsea, man city, spurs , Burnley , boogey side Brighton and if Norwich can bully them they might get a result, they could be in trouble by Christmas if they don't toughen up and get taller defenders in.
Newcastle fans need to get of Steve Bruce's back the guys done a great job with what he's got and they need to get behind the team, Rafa didn't do any better and is idolised.
Look at West Ham no fans allowed in the stadium and they had the best season last year otherwise they want blood everyweek
At 14's Leeds aren't a bad shout unless they change how they play as they got found out to easily last season and already by united.

@dan-mackinnon I’ve posted before, I think there are 7/8 teams who will be in the relegation battle and cut off from the rest of which I’m afraid your one. I hate to say it but Viera’s management record is awful, can’t see him lasting the season it’s an appointment which strikes me as similar to de Bouer
I hope Arsenal were in that mix. Only going one way if they don’t replace Arteta and invest heavily. As a Spurs fan I shall be grabbing the popcorn, but as a neutral I would say that the premier league without a good Arsenal team would be missing something. Even I have enjoyed watching them when Wenger was in his heyday.

@martin I put a bit on Newcastle before the start of the season @4.1 - Now that the fans are back, I'd really be surprised if Steve Bruce stays the season.
Same pained me as a Newcastle fan to do it I just know under Bruce we will go on a run where don't win in 10 and the odds will drop I think we have enough fire power the weakness is the manger

@martin they've got to come to Selhurst Park next and I see Crystal Palace are 2nd favourites to go down. I think a lot of pundits have written us off because of Vieira and the fact we let a lot of players go. No one seems to have taken into account we've signed a few decent youngsters, just got a new financial backer so looking to sign some more players and the ones we let go hardly played the last 2 seasons. We've kept the core of our team, most importantly Zaha. Yes we had a bad first game but it was against the European champions
-
@martin Probably, not sure how the rest of their fixtures look for the next couple of weeks. Think its Crystal Palace next. I'd be tempted to back the Norwich one though they've got City at the weekend!
@Chris-Osborne Arteta?

Who’d go there whilst Ashley is still the owner.

@john-folan I’m also off with a positive test this week. Hope you don’t feel too rough!
Same to you buddy!
Not too bad, feels more like a cold. I'm double jabbed so I should be alright.
Locked in the spare room with my trading pc and I've moved the PS5 in. Food and drink regularly delivered to the door. Can't say I am suffering too much if I'm honest lol
Always a good day when you move the PS5 in, a momentous life event that.

Lucky you. I’m self isolating as my pcr came back positive. This would be a good week for Adam to let me test the horse software or it’s a week of ps5 for me lol
