@thomas-larsen if you check the current ones in the software you can click edit filter and see what criteria is being used. That's the best place to start to see what you can use and adapt

    Hi guys
Golf season is comming to an end and I will have more time for trading. (Im a golf trainer)
During the season I follow the daily advices and trades from you members.
But now i feel its time to develop my own filter - and i like the SHG
And now my question. Where do i find inspiration for how such a filter couldt look like. And where do i backtest it?
How do i get help for making a filter for SHG?
Im not very good at this.
    Thanks in advance

@ryan Its happening more and more I think and will continue to grow. It makes complete sense as you say. The number of conversations I have had with parents of young players saying you're better getting mens football than the under 21's at a bigger club .. but trouble is they see the glory of the bigger club and so many times young players just drift out of the game. This model ..in the nicest possible way gets them knocked about a bit, finds out if they've got enough about them ..

@Mark-Maguire I am amazed at why we don't have more links like this across the board, I mean we have all the infrastructure to have a system like the Americans when it comes to uni and giving players and education and chance to play at a decent level

@mark-maguire I agree that watching games present you opportunities. Some of the best unders teams are the big ones (Real Madrid, Juventus, PSG) probably because everyone expects them to win every game, especially if they’re playing a relegation battlers. When you actually watch the game you see it’s a lot slower and players can seem lazy. Whereas the opposition are holding on for dear life. There have been loads of 0-0 at HT, then fitness takes over and the game might finished 4-0.

I also think watching in person is better than behind a laptop. It’s easier to see everything going on. That’s true of any sport and I think Ryan also suggested if you want to learn about a sport go down and watch it at a local level. Everything applies but it’ll be done at a slower pace.

@richard-latimer I don’t understand how it can work to have a filter which is so susceptible to just 2 losses in all honesty. If you are constantly taking leagues on and off the ā€˜s**t list’ then you will struggle not to get done by the bad end of variance and may explain the lack of traction. Personally I’d play only the leagues which have 20+ results AND hit your min SR and then review the list every few months.

totally agree with this Lee, @Richard-Latimer i dont know how your trying to defend this kind of approach. What he is saying is correct and common sense. Your risking money on leagues that are untested and can be taken off in just a couple results. Why is it when everyone is saying to think carefully you just keep saying your way is correct? Its like we can all see the mistakes and you are refusing to believe it. Its not a slagging match, stop being defensive, its actual advice cause we want you to succeed. The odds you are getting in on are too high risk for lack of data in the leagues. Unlike other strats which can perhaps get away with less league specific criteria. Yours cannot, its so vital for yours given how costly 3-4 losses in a row can be to the bank. Removing a league which has only had 3 losses and 20 wins sounds crazy to me, that kind of a strike rate 87% and its not in good profit sounds like such a small edge if any. You then replied saying the more trades the less variance will show, but you dont have enough data on leagues to have that yet. You dont truly know what leagues are good enough to say that. Please consider using the btc daily selections, btc filters martin/ryan has put a tonne of time into these, ryans splits, my ltd, any of the good traders strategies that share them. Trade them while you test this in background. Make some money and tick that bank upwards.

It's disappointing though isn't it for a league you associate with loads of goals.
