I think the biggest question is who they could credibly replace him with at this stage. They've made a big thing about returning to principles after experimenting with names like Van Gaal and Mourinho so they can't go back there, they have to have someone who will help build young teams and regain the infra structure of the club - Benitez destroyed it from within at Liverpool and Klopp has re built it. Ollie has tried to start rebuilding it at Utd but isn't a Klopp - so they've a big big problem now in how to go forward. Stick or Twist and if they twist.. who... ?

A lot of people will be calling for him to go after that. It’s one thing losing against our biggest rivals but getting hammered 5-0 at home will lose him the support of a lot of his backers
