I think its worth it for people staking higher such as full time traders who might use similar stakes all year. A newer trader shouldnt really be looking at long term plays as youd be ideally outgrowing those stakes by the end of the season

@sean-fitzgerald yeah I did very well from a Norwich one earlier in the season! Only problem is waiting until May for the payout...
Yeah I’m okay waiting for the payout but not keen on having liability tied up for extended periods.
The advantage of trading Norwich to be relegated you can remove liability very quickly!
We'll be back...

@sean-fitzgerald i really like the longer term stuff, its alot less risky. Even if it goes against you the movements are so slow you'd never have a big loss (assuming sensible staking).
I also don't mind waiting for the payout as you may find that May is a slow month trading wise as all the winter leagues come to a close, so it's nice to know you have some green locked away.
I really like what you said about checking the run of fixtures, that's very shrewd.
Also you can get bigger odds on outright markets so I think spotting value to the keen eye is easier. On that point you can have a low win % and still be in very good profit.

@sean-fitzgerald I have a list of top 3 teams, which I am currently paper testing for my FHG / LTD strat. I am restricting it to the top leagues in England and Europe.

@keith-anderson On match reading lower league stuff is where I have really honed that skill but it's bloody hard to pick a team to score lol because you'll be sure they are going to then they'll over commit and go and concede lol
agree on AFCON, watched a few games shocking quality had enough of it lol its almost as bad as those two muppets on the transfer show on SSN

That’s the reason I don’t do them. Hate waiting on a payout! When I lay under 1.5 goals on Betdaq, they sometimes don’t pay out until the match is over! That really pisses me off!

Does anyone do much trading on relegation, Top 3, Top 5 type markets?
I had a nice one recently on relegation market. I noted Burnley had a run of tougher matches through late Dec and through Jan so I backed them for relegation at $2.12 with a plan to track through Jan and exit early Feb aiming for perhaps lay odds around $1.80.
I exited early a few days back at $1.69 (nice chunk of green) which was way ahead of schedule but I figured they wouldn’t shorten too much more in next 3 weeks and there was a risk they jag a result and blow out again.
Keen to hear if anyone has strategies around this type of trade or thoughts. Obvious downside is potentially having liability tied up for extended period which not keen on but plus side on this one now is it’s all greened up and will be nice surprise at seasons end.
Keen on any thoughts

Will be looking to trade My Split Stake in the West Ham v Norwich match tonight.
That's if we manage to keep a clean sheet in the first 12mins (and the obvious, IPS shows good attacking intent)... Norwich are conceding too easily this season.

@keith-anderson Happy Birthday for tmrw and brilliant stuff as ever.
"Paper trades" today for me as I had the kids about and felt I should sit out based on the stats.. both came through green but they don't count, but feel I'm progressing because I dont regret missing out
