@Andrew-Wooding
Also will be even better when the BTC racing software comes out, as will help find selections alot quicker for strats like the 25% drop, i cant wait for this as these are easy to automate and leave running in background whilst you trade other things -
@andrew-wooding
Hi mate, have you tried pre race swing trading? it takes some time to master but can be very profitable, also dont need to know anything about the horses really as you are trading the market not the runners. Or theres the D.O.B OR 25% in running, where you set your trade and look for price to drop or drift a certain amount in play, so say back at 8, exit in running at 6 for an equal profit, just a few ideas there for you, as i say not easy, but just start on very small stakes, say 10p and watch the markets and you pick up little things, then as you get better/more confident increase your stakes

@andrew-wooding ps - Martin I put up A couple of msgs on Timeform strategy in the private teaching group. Hope that was the right place for it?

Hi guys.
Horses are something I really want to trade properly as I see the potential, but I don’t know anything over and above what your average sun reader does on the subject. I like the 2 strategies put up by Martin (nap lays and Timeform), but it would be great to see if there is something else to go at. Appreciate folks have prob worked damn hard on their systems so not asking for a free lunch, but maybe a point in the right direction to A published strategy which is proven profitable?
Many thanks.

@john-folan plus so many 4 or below get beaten, ill have a look see where it would have performed best

@john-folan I'm wondering if I should do the same on the nap lays with odds around 6 and above
Odds are the be all and end all I think so worth exploring

Having a bit of an overhaul of the trobs. The new odds range is 3.5-9.0 Only Not that the old range was bad. 82 points and an ROI of 10% plus was not to be sniffed at. I've gotten a little obsessed with the above odds range for lots of things. It gives a return on these of 72 points from 455 trades so an ROI of 16%. A graph showing the trend is attached. Today's selections are below. This odds range improves the unfiltered range from negative 150 to a positive 68 so a 218 point difference. Reducing bet numbers from 3332 to 1283. More than enough data to draw conclusions.

3 qualified, 2 winning trades, 1loss.
The loss was a shorter distance adding yet more fuel to the fire that these are a waste of time. Almost entirely 50/50 between 5f-6f now.

Still hobbling along.Today there were 3, almost 4 qualifiers.
The non handicap lost it's race. The handicap's split 50/50. Just need to keep tracking it all for now.
You have something there mate. Keep going

ToMorrows. 3.5-20 odds range

Better today. Couple of points profit. Still treading water tho since the restart. Better than losing loads though!!

Todays potential lays:
Beware of non handicaps, shorter race distances and especially a combination of the two.
I'll narrow this down as I go.
