I can confirm the term steaming, is also very widely used here in Wales, especially on a saturday night!

@Tony-Hastie great point, amazing how often strategies not obviously connected align like that. I find it with football too!

@Martin Ive noticed if the DOBs do well the Lay 3rd fav does well too. And if one doesnt, neither does the other. Need to find something set and forget that does well when these dont now!

@Martin Before I was adding my software DOB selections to another lot of selections from another provider then putting them through my selection criteria. This month I have decided to stand alone trade them(£1 stakes) with no other criteria and am up 10 points!

Had a good few days on the horses feels like a decent August so far

@Adam I ran the dob strat as an outright backs test to see after those results, and it was the most variance I had ever seen! Up overall but a hell of a rollercoaster

How has everyone's horse strategies been getting on? Any hidden gems developing?

My best ones at the moment revolve around combinations of draw bias and pace rating.

I think I'll actually add Pace Bias to the software, as there are courses that have a bias for specific pace styles just like there are ones that have a bias in certain stalls.

You can get quite a good idea from the course type. I started looking but got distracted as usual. Will look when I’m back from Turkey with a head of hair like Rod Stewart

@Adam draw bias is really interesting to me as not something I have used much! Pace bias sounds like a fascinating stat they I bet hardly anyone is looking at.
