@keith
Just research that price range. I'd say it is just a one of those quirks that happens with results now and again, and if it was run over 5 years of data, it would vanish.
Wonder if it’s to do with resistance points for the exit.

Seeing something that is coming up quite a lot looking at dobbing or trobbing strategies. It's a bit of an anomaly but it's happening in my dr trobs as well. The 6.0-6.99 odds range is atrocious. Even if 3.5-5.99 and 7.0 and above is great. This is rearing it's head a lot so it must be a thing. Damned if I can work out why. Any thoughts?
I've seen this with a few systems where price ranges in between others are an anomaly. I can't seem to explain why either!
I remember @Keith-Driscoll saying that there needs to be a reason to disqualify certain parameters. He’s right there is. I’m not discounting them yet. Just going to keep an eye.

Hard to say why but if it's consistently bad worth keeping an eye on

Gutted about Lester Piggot. A true legend among jockeys.

I was very unlucky with one failing to trob just. Slow horses was good though. Looking at the Zero Paced Lays they would have been storming yesterday. Deffo starting those on the 1st of June. Here are todays:
Trobs: 3.5-9 Odds Range. Dob Trob or Win. Take your pick.
Slow Horses. Dob any over 5.0. My BSP bot is going well on this so I will be able to use it on Zero Paced Lays as well with an adjustment on the odds lowest entry point.
-
Nothing matched yesterday. Couple to go at today
Trobs 3.5-9 odds range only
Slow Horses. Dob any over 5.0

@wayne-ironside if you're stuck, message me and I can email the strategy file unless @Martin can get that file type added to the allowable file types to upload?
@Adam can you sort this please

Hi Wayne
I don't have permission to upload a Fairbot strategy file (.fs) but here's an example of a DOB set up within Fairbot. I've allowed for up to 4 horses to be selected in a race. Minimum price of 5, take BSP and trade out for 1 point profit.
Let me know if any questions
Cheers
Kevin
thanks, i'll see if I can copy it. I have been able to make football ones but never horse racing ones.

Just a trob today, but currently trading outside the 3.5-9 odds range. I'm going to get these going properly on the horse software over the weekend. We would have had a successful trade yet again outside the odds filters. Still made a point. I'll be adding zero paced lays from the first of June. They are 16 points up forward testing. Pleased with those. Slow Horses is about 8 points up this month despite two losers yesterday. Well pleased with the software. Especially the short odds lays(that need a bot. Gone from a 10 point dip at the start of the month to 21 points in front. They are overperforming a bit at the mo.
What bots are you using I have Fairbot. Would I need betfair bot manager??
You could probably recreate in fairbot. I’ve never used it but generally they seem the same. I’ll upload the horse software settings after the weekend so you can see the conditions
awesome thanks

Trobs: Trob if within the 3.5-9 odds range only
Slow Horses: Dob any over 5 just before the off.
-
@keith-driscoll thanks mate I’ll bear that in mind. This is why I'm here to learn from more experienced people I'll look for a backing system over 50
-
@keith At prices over 50/1 on Betfair, you are getting great value, which means back bets only. If you lay, you are getting really bad value.
