There's is a basic LTF bot on the Bet Angel forum but it works fine.. Activates 1 sec after race goes in play. You just need to change the settings to the required odds and stake. Was going to add in a liquidity condition for the Aus races overnight.

Works a treat on BF Bet Manager if anyone is interested in setting that up (see my previous post on my settings at the moment).
Tested it last night on the Aussie racing with no minimum traded volume and it fired the bets in perfectly. Will activate it properly today requiring at least 50K liquidity before the off.
I'd love to give it a go on BFBM if you could help me with the settings please Charles! I had a quick go yesterday but i'm much better at football on BFBM than the horses unfortunately!

Do you have what's app mate? Might be easier to do a call then I can talk you through setting it up?

@dan-erridge Hi Dan, yes please mate I have tried some bots on Bet Angel without a lot of success for scalping. I tried setting an automated lay the field the other night but it didn't work as I didn't realise you had to keep the pc on. That's why I do the Manual lay the field and press the keep button now. What auto bot do you have please
-
@james-everard @Alan-Steward I can help you with a basic automation bot on bet angel if you guys want.i have one set up myself.as I say very basic atm but will be adapting it.at the moment I put the races in I want then automate them.i will be adapting it for runners etc so can just leave, but this saves you typing all the prices out etc each time and it also keeps them for you inplay aswell
Let me know if your interested and I will happily help

@alan-steward Hi Alan, I was trying to automate my lay the field on Bet Angel but struggled. I found which you probably done , click the 3rd option(manual trade) this is after one click and Ladder you manually type in the odds and apply all on the layside and then obviously keep all so it goes in play. I have noticed some races don't always go in play on Betfair ( all Swedish which we don't want to touch anyway) and Remmington Park sometimes but they are normally to shorter distances to meet the criteria

Another 1.2pts green last night with 2 LTF races in Tampa... Missed a couple the night before as I'm getting used to using the Bet Angel software rather than FairBot but kept forgetting to "Keep All" lol.
Interestingly with Bet Angel I can measure the lowest odds matched even whilst still in-play... I believe they are back odds but should be a good yard stick, might even be able to switch it to Lay Odds, will look further into it.

@charles-cartwright Hi Charles yes I have been getting my pre race stats from Greyhound-data website( trap number info). Still very early days though to know if profitable long term. Will let you guys know after a month of so of results or at least 500 races.
Like Martin has mentioned this is the perfect time to test strategies now we all have plenty of time on our hands -
Set up a lay the field today just to see how it tracks.
Ended up setting 3 different ones each at different entry points. Again this it small stakes mostly just to try to calibrate where to hit the entry point (really the hardest thing to try to figure out).
Initial criteria were pretty straightforward:
Markets either AUS or USA
Minimum runners 10 (no max)
Fav price at least 3.5 (no max)
At least 5 horses within 6 of the back price of the fav.
Standard flat racing only (no harness races)
50K minimum liquidity
No restrictions on distance
Enter at 1.99, 1.76, and 1.51.
Will update as this goes along

@charles-cartwright Everyone is different when it comes to trading , I have been experimenting during this slow time with horses and greyhounds. I only was trading football because that is the sport I enjoy most. I tried a couple of nights ago laying the field on 3 horse races that were overnight( Australia) and they won which was good.
The dogs I am testing on laying a trap number , i am trying to keep a record of results for a few weeks. If it is profitable system after say 400 plus races i will let you guys know.Sounds like an idea. In the end I decided to set up a lay the field bot on BFBM today and will run it for a couple of weeks on Aussie and US races and see where it ends up.
I was playing with a dutching approach to dog racing but couldn't seem to settle on anything that looked anything like respectable. Maybe I should reconsider?
I assume you are trying to assess some sort of trap bias at given dog tracks to select your lay picks. Will be interested to see if that shows up anything. Are the differences that big to make a difference though and are they not factored in to the pricing of the races?
-
@dan-erridge Hi mate , yes a straight lay on one trap. I am looking for odds ideally no higher than 8.0 but no lower than 4.0 ( i don't want favourites that have been set the trap with a poor record). I have only been doing for a few days and like i have said on here before i am useless with excel so my Brother is kindly setting up a excel spreadsheet for my results today. Once done i will add the results to the sheet and will let you know later on. Think i am in profit definitely so far
-
Hi Mate
lol, how strange, so are you just straight laying? i have heard of greyhound data actually, so it gives you all the stats you need then, interesting, whats your results so far mate?

@dan-erridge Hi mate i found a site a few days ago called Greyhound-data. I find it really useful it has all the tracks in the world and gives us the data on each track and distance. By the way coincidence the road name i live in is the same as your surname lol

@charles-cartwright Out of interest how do find the Aussie greyhounds different and harder to trade than the Uk races?
I don't find any difference! I just think dog racing is the bottom of the barrel and it is hard for me to get motivated to try to find trading angles when I really can't stand the 'sport' itself.
Having said that if the current situation doesn't change in the relatively near future I might have to modify my opinion.
I do think Aussie horse racing is terrific though. Really high quality animals, lots of excellent courses, and big purses. Have been to all 3 courses in Sydney and they all have a certain kind of 'charm'. Just don't have the tools that I have for analyzing racing there that I have in the UK plus it is all at night for me which is a downer.

Great last lay the field race.3 matched the other 2 were small winners aswell with 2 getting matched
