@john-folan Hi John I wanted to ask you a question about your slow horse DOB strategy, the filter does bring up multiple selections and when there's two or three that's not too bad cause I just trade all of them that are above 6 and are below 1000 but there's been sometimes where there's been five or six selections and I was just wondering if you trade them all? This is an example form 20th October:
Some of the selections are way above 100……..and I know that doesn't mean that they're not going to DOB, but is there a maximum price where you just think no I'm not going to trade that? so for example say over 100? Or 200?

@john-folan maybe there is an angle I do notice that most new horse traders try to tick scalp with zero knowledge of the markets!
I think there is. I’ve always really just scalped Monday to Friday daytime meets. I’m normally seeing double by the last race on those anyway. The liquidity is definitely different.

Anyone scalp evening races? I don’t but they seem massively different to daytime ones. Is this something people have noticed? I’m guessing all the amateurs are out f*****g up the markets

Classic Trobs: Trob any between 3.5-9 as close to the off as you can. Avoid Heavy Ground.

@john-folan my back the favourite and pace lays have been doing well recently, how have your horse software strategies been getting on?
Ok actually. My pace backs have struggled this month but short odds lays are doing well. The beaten favourites I’ve been messing with is ticking along nicely too

@Martin Just noticed that Adam has got the BSP price option in :). We should now be able to find some stuff everyone can do.

Really handy being able to sort posts on here with newest first. It also means you get to see the original post all the time as well. Just noticed the horse software support link. Very handy.

Nothing today. Nice Trob yesterday put me on scratch for the month

is there any issue with the strategy builder at the moment? cant seem to run any testing on any strategy?
We've released a new version of the horse racing software and your browser is caching the old version. You need to clear out your browser's cache of the horse racing page. In Chrome you can do this by right clicking the reload button and selecting "hard reset and clear cache".

@john-folan I didn't realise you could have min/max on those, that is a really good option then!
Yeah I know about the odds moves etc but I think a lot of people will want something they can place in the morning etc without bot
Sadly you can’t have a maximum back price or a minimum lay price or I would do a lot more bsp stuff.
If you are looking for something everyone can do this is the way to go though. We do need @Adam to add it as an option though in the pricing bit. I’ll add it to Asana for him. I know he loves it when I do that.
I haved a mix of bot and slections i place first thing in the morning based on startegy, for example i use martin pace lays and that has a selection criteria of odds between 3-9 so the bot looks for price 11 sec before race and if it between 3-9 it fires, but for pure back stratgeies like maiden backs i just back them in the morning, prices could move buy ultimately a maiden fav isnt going to move a great deal. The most important thing is test the startegy using small stakes, it you get 3 good months up the stakes but slowly and record all results. I work so cant stare at a screen all day to get better prices, not would i want to
Me neither. I’ve got my odds all worked out and entry timed. I just download the csv from BTC. Change two column headings and upload into Bfbot. Literally takes two minutes
I start everything on £1 stakes compounding at 1/2/4 or 5 % depending on the drawdown. They will either take or I lose half a £100 bank(so £50). No stress then and doesn’t affect my scalping profits

@martin I haven't yet because it could be an issue with my laptop/ internet so let me make sure that's not the case first. If it's not I will.
Clear that cache mate. All that pornhub is sending your browser wonky
