Forward testing this after lots of messing around with the horse software. I'm still learning a lot about horse racing and getting my head around it, backtesting is seriously slick!
Will share some results if it maintains a positive form. It's essentially a back the fave, v similar selections come through as John's Back the Favourite from the member presets but with some different courses and trading days set up. Think there's a good chance I've just filtered out variance, in which case the forward testing will find that out!

I've just downloaded the short odd lays individual results. I've run my max drawdown calculator through it and it's coming in at just under 7%. Quite comfortable I think. I have been compounding these at 2% with ratchet(don't reduce stakes on losses) but I'm going to bang it up to 5%. I can deal with a 35% drawdown if it happens. I think @Ryan is doing a podcast on compounding soon. Einstein said compounding is the 8th wonder of the world(probably, but if he didn't he should have) and I agree. It has slowly transformed my trading the last year along with liability lays when I am using broader odds ranges(slower growth to straight points but lower drawdowns means bigger compounding rates).
Best thing is becasue of the new minimum £1 bet you can start your bank for a new strategy at £20, £50 and £100 depending on your rate of growth(5%, 2% and 1%) so you won't break your banks. As Gary Barlow said, all you need is a little patience(I've just quoted Einstein and Barlow in the same post. Told you I was a knob).
REAL BOTTOM OF THE BARRELL STUFF WHEN YOU HAVE TO QUOTE GB!!

@john-folan I haven’t emailed them yet, I’ll give that a go, if you do come across anything please let me know. Thanks
I'm pretty sure DSLR isn't an option in the Fairbot Conditions. You could email and ask them to put it on the enhancement list as it shows when you hover over a runner

@john-folan Hi John, is there any way you can automate the DSLR on a bot? I’m on Fairbot and can’t see an option anywhere or is it a case of manually checking
I've got it automated on bfbm so yes. You can in bet angel as well(surprising as their filtering options for automation are atrocious). Must be an option on Fairbot. I can't see a manual anywhere so I can't look. Have you tried emailing their support?

@john-folan Same John, cracker of a day!
Just a touch under 3.25 points on the day, that’s the best ever day for me with this strategy and after going live on the 1st of December and having its worst ever month, today was the day that heavy loss turned around and I’m now well in the green.
Thank you soo much for the strategy and the private chat coaching mate, and to the lads @Adam @Ryan and @Martin for creating the software.
What a legendary bunch
It’s not a problem. Enough people helped me when I first started so it’s always nice to pay it back. We all know I can be a bit of a knob sometimes (I accept this and I’m ok with it. I think it’s part of the recovery process) but I like to help if I can.
Nice to see this thread busy .

@john-folan P.S. I still don’t know one end of a horse from another but who cares?!
You will be amazed what you will pick up knowledge wise as you go along. I think the number crunching is the key though. Follow the stats and ignore your opinions.

@Adam It seems to be if you saved a strategy with preset columns before you did the update then it doesn't work and you get no data in the trade history. To get round this I have been running the strategy with ALL columns selected, saving it and then running it again with no columns selected and then the default appear ok.
That could be the case. If so then making a small change to the columns and re-saving should do the trick as it should save them in the correct format.

COuld have been an awful start...first 2 Pace Lays prices were outside remit at Lingfield. 33.0 +36.0...both Won!!

It should always default to at least the basic list of roughly 12 columns in the individual trades results.
If anyone ever sees an empty list of columns in that "tailor your results" section, could you please log a support ticket and tell me the sequence of actions that led to it, e.g. "I copied another strategy and ran it and then noticed there were no columns" or "I saved a strategy then went back to it later and the columns were empty".
I need to figure out which case leads to them getting emptied.

@john-folan Same John, almost 1.5 points profit. Lovely jubbly

@paul-foster @John-Folan thanks
Yeh it deleted them all. Don't think i ever entered them 1st time, must have been default ones saved. Just assumed they were still there.
