@andy-lucy Been over two weeks since I had either of the daily emails there so unreliable, I'd use the filters

@david-blake You can use DLSR in BF Bot Manager. I have just switched to BFBM from Bet Angel, nothing wrong with Bet Angel, but I am finding it much easier to use for automation and tracking P & L, Banks etc etc.
Bet Angel is amazing for speed. BFBM for the conditions and bank roll management. I’ve just dumped geeks toy for manual scalping and gone back to bet angel for that as it gives me the Guardian feature as well so I can take advantage of that for certain things. Wish I could get my head round all his signal and stored value crap but that’s what I’ve got BFBM for. Combined with the software that Adam’s developed and depending on how price sensitive the strategy is it’s definitely (in my opinion) the better option. Plus for football it will be absolutely perfect when the soccer 2.0 software is released. Speed not so much of the essence there at all.(20ms bet angel, 300ms BFBM).
I’m still talking to BFBM over email about adding exchange streaming as an option and that will make this a moot point anyway. I think they are listening to me.

@john-folan Cheers as always. Been doing this for a week now, my selections have pretty much matched yours and the software which is encouraging. Fingers crossed for a wee rebound, last couple of days have been disappointing.
Out of interest do you not do this on a sat?
No. It is profitable but much less so. I’m probably being fussy.

hello John , very new here. Sorry to ask but the lay strategy you post everyday, is that the same strategy as the lay at short odds listed in the strategies page?
I’m just trying to understand how you choose your selections because on the software the it show’s specific horses to lay? Sorry for the noobie question.Sorry mate, been a bit under the weather. Yes its the same. The software will throw up the CURRENT favourite. I've got my bot set up to lay the favourite near the off without it being a specifically named horse.

I shall be laying the favourites in these races 10 seconds before the start time subject to the following conditions:
Number of Runners 4-14.
Odds Between 1.8-2.4.
DSLR: 3-200.Full strategy available here in the pinned post.

@neal-simmonds well I noticed there are multiple horses per race so wasn’t sure. Also if you just picked the favourite would that not sometimes break the DSLR rule? I’m trying to use bet angel to automate this but that was the last sticking point I cannot work out.
you can display additional information on the bet angel oneclick screen including dslr, so would suspect you could used that as a stored value to measure against - (dont askme how)
custom coloums > additional information
Can’t work out how to do that with my custom columns. Support got back to me, you can’t use dslr in the rules but it will be in the next update

I was thinking about that. I didnt know you could display dslr on BA. Maybe there is a way to add that into the rules? I might contact BA support, see what they say.

@david-blake So I'm currently trying out Fairbot, & I'm having to manually limit a race on certain conditions that the software wont let me create a rule about.
However, John does always point out that the selections must meet with the conditions, if the conditions aren't met then it's a no bet!
You cant make the foot, fit the shoe!

@david-blake
Don't quote me David but I think it shows a named horse when that horse is the current favourite I.E. Its the Favourite right now but it might not be the favourite by the time the race goes off? -

I've heard people talk about Dutching quite a bit lately so thought I'd mess about with the software to see if I could come up with something. As far as I understand you can't back test this strategy because the software doesn't allow you to pro-rata your stake/ liability over multiple selections. Is that correct, or has anyone else given it a try?

We've noticed some performance issues when the "ticks" option in the exit settings is used in the horse racing software.
We're working on a fix now. For now, if you're able to use any of the other exit types, you should find your strategies run much quicker
