Hey guys has the daily emails stopped at all? I haven’t had any for last 2-3 days so just wondered. Thanks
I just sent out an email about this should reconvene tomorrow.

@eddy-lowey no not yet I haven’t mate
-
@andy-lucy I was just about to post the same question, have you had any feedback yet?

Put it like this, if it was that much of a problem Flutters share price would have plummeted today. It barely moved and finished up on the day.
Excellent way of looking at it.

@john-folan amazing if so- what makes you think that though?
It’s aimed at younger gamblers and slots. It’s an utter whitewash. Won’t make a jot of difference. That affordability check for losing large sums will be pointless too

Nope it’s a load of shite and won’t really affect us.
@John-Folan Ever thought about a career in politics?
I’d end up getting cancelled within two hours with all the straight talking I’d do

@dan-mackinnon to be honest, I haven’t read the whole paper yet. However, all the information I’ve been seeing on twitter today suggests they are going to start to do soft affordability checks on accounts with daily losses of over £125 and more stringent ones for daily losses of over £1000 and £2k over 90 days.
I have no idea if exchanges are going to be lumped in, however if so, it would obviously be an enormous (possibly fatal?) thorn in the side of what we do here… we certainly have many down swings on the way to profitability…. Fingers crossed
-
@joshua-varley isn't the white paper meant to be more about protecting people who deposit a load of money and then lose it?
I can't see how it impacts what we do. If anything there should be more restrictions to prevent people from getting into too much gambling debt (e.g. no deposits from credit cards).

So with this whole white paper ordeal, are we all screwed?

@jonathan-jones it's amazing what potential the horse racing software has demonstrated.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the football software update throws up when that's released
-
Thas a big milestone passed. Running all the strats (or versions of anyway) on a tiny £50 bank with 1% of previous days balance as the stake has now doubled the account. March was a write o9ff because i kept messing with stuff so ignored that one. Started again in April. Still a bit of messing at the start but didnt make much difference. A good time of year to start i think according to the backtests.

The glasses thing, I do that at least twice a week
I also couldn’t find my phone one time while I was talking on it
-
@john-folan I appreciate that. As silly as it is, I was relieved that the software was still correct and my strategy hadn't taken a sudden unexpected downturn.
It felt like when you see people looking for their glasses but they're on their head the whole time! I was going through loads of different possibilities with the software but the issue was with the user all along. What do they say about a tradesman blaming his tools?!
