Cashed out on the first US race early as the green shot up as the favourite matched early and drifted out. Laid the field on the 2nd race and three horses matched. Decent start to the evening. May give the 3rd a miss as there's a huge gap between 1st and 2nd fav. That may change closer to the off though.

Also, I'm not sure about the Tampa Bay track although I'll give it a bash. I've had most joy with the Will Rogers Downs.

I also read in a thread today that some people throw in a variety of lay odds instead of a blanket one like I have been doing. This interested me as it may give a higher chance of more matches. Of course, it will also increase liability.

@james-everard I didn't have much luck in the Aus market and I couldn't concentrate as I was working. The timing for the US suited me better.
This is just experimentation remember! I've no data to back it up. I have been using the US markets to practice scalping for when the UK racing returns. Thought I'd dabble and lay the field a few time. Had more success doing that than with the scalping!!!

@Keith-Dow going to give the lay the field strategy a go tonight. why did you pick 1.8 as the odds btw?
I picked it because when I dabbled a few time at 2 I was breaking even all the time. I suspected that the odds may bounce below a little before coming back therefore if only 2 horses matched you still get a small profit. It was just observation and chance really. I read somewhere that traders are more inclined to go for round numbers so for a better chance of getting matched you should go for strange odds. I've started the lays at 1.82 now!
Good luck. It's probably more out of boredom and my stakes are really small. Found I can set and forget and go to bed. -

Hi Martin/keith is this strategy you are looking at for the USA market only?
