@martin-dodd won't be enough liquidity for aus or US I'm thinking more UK when it comes back
Here's data for the 2019 UK races...
Very interesting for when the season starts again back in the Uk.

I'm surprised this spreadsheet is still here from 2014 but it is. Massive amount of data from 2014-2018. Seems less runners not necessarily a bad thing.

Where did you find this @Richard-Latimer ?

@james-everard most capital city races are on a Saturday unless it’s a festival like Sydney is having now or Melbourne in November. Then you can have major meets during the week over the festival. I guess like Cheltenham over here. Some of the larger regional cities may offer decent opportunities during the week but I’d need to look into it. Another country worth keeping an eye on with a similar time zone to Australia is Japan. They are crazy for the horses and have had success with hit and run missions in Oz for our bigger festivals. I’m going to look into Japanese racing a little bit myself as it may not have the liquidity to be worth it but it will definitely have the horses and competitiveness if liquidity does make it worth while.
-
@james-woodroffe Cheers for the info will keep an eye on these at the weekend. Made notes of these events. Which courses on general day to day racing are national courses then rather than regional ?
-
This coming Saturday is Sydney Cup day at Randwick they have 4 group 1 races which are the first 4. It’s one of the biggest days of racing in Australia and probably only comparable to Derby day at Flemington in November as the best day of racing over the year. There’s the Australian Oaks and the Queen Elizabeth Stakes also on the same day. One thing that won’t be lacking I dare say is liquidity. I think there’s other days in Sydney that lead up to Saturday this week but Saturday will definitely be a day worthy of dragging yourself out of bed.
-
@james-woodroffe That's the problem living in the Uk , I have little knowledge of horse racing anyway never mind on Aussie race courses. I have learnt by going on Bet365 which races listed on Betfair were Harness races so didn't touch them.
-
@james-everard there’s a lot of race meetings in small rural parts of Oz mate that I wouldn’t even consider going near. I’m going to have a look later this afternoon but I think Sydney has a big festival over Easter at Warwick Farm. Some of the larger Australian regional cities have good racing but theres a lot of backwater meets also.

Hey guys just for my own understanding. I’ve identified 2 potential LTF for this evening at Will Rogers Downs I think . The 20:45 and 22:45. Both races are 6f however the favourite in the 22:45 is currently 3.6 but of the 9 starters at this stage 5 are priced under 10.0.
For the 20:45 again we have 5 under 10.0 out of 11 and a favourite currently at 4.1.
Both races are identified as Claim does this mean they should be avoided? Cheers guys.I was trying to test anything above 3.5 but I think I will follow the rules and has to be 4.0. I had for instance one last night in Australia 12 runners , but the fav before I went to sleep was 3.7 but had 7 under 10.0 and only one came in under 2.04 odds inplay. Think It has to be a minimum of 4.0 from now on

@richard-latimer nope want to get lots of testing data, was hoping the community spreadsheet would take off but no one is filling it in
I have no idea what details were overnight other than it lost haha. I'll try and remember to fill it in if I do any.
Sorry I didn't get all the details either will do from now on for us all to generate the data required.

Have we established that the Aussie meetings don't work or does anybody know which ones are good to go?
I would leave the Aussie races , I done three overnight all met the criteria and all lost so I would give it a swerve. Usa only at this stage until the Uk races come back hopefully next month

@martin-dodd yes but the good thing there is we want £100 matched in the big races, this would be good for the UK stuff for sure
In that case, here's some data from yesterday's AUS races...number of runners, Number of BSPs below X, number of runners with IP below X
It should be relatively straightforward to expand this to more dates/countries.Let me know if any different fields/values would be useful and I'll see what I can pull together
