Watched 'Plead Me Guilty' the other day. Based on true events. If you like a court drama its pretty good. Also actually have some respect for Vin Diesel as an actor now
Midnight Special bit disappointing, lots of lovely special effects but bland as shite characters.

Anyone watched Bly Manor yet? Not bad but the ending lets it down big time!
sounds like LOST!
If lost was a ghost story told in 9 episodes haha

I have never seen LOST or Prison Break for that matter, either of them worth a go?
Lost deffo. Never watched Prison Break. @Keith-Anderson told me it gave him PTSD. Apparently he can’t go into a shower anymore...

@john-folan On my list and near the top now. Fingers crossed for a season 3 then
Finished off lovely, but set up beautifully for another season
Great Lets hope there is someone with at least half a brain in the Netflix meeting about a season 3.

The Boys Season 2 was awesome!!

I'll go ahead and recommend The Magic Pill before we leave the keto conversation behind
Might be good to watch it at the same time as Game Changers though in an attempt to get a balanced perspective as they're both massively biased in opposite directions (Game Changers is a pro-vegan doc).

@daniel-mills Usually with most people that subsides in time as your body adjusts to the lower carb intake.
Some tricks to help can be to lower your protein intake slightly and drink more water. Not all things work for all people though so bit of trial an error needed.

@adam-williams Interesting to hear first hand from someone who has been doing it long term. I did it for a bit and got terrible bad breath. Had to knock it on the head, couldn't be around anyone at work. Didn't mind all of the other aspects of it!

@matt-wood My alcohol bill has definitely gone down as I'm not on the beer every night
I'm not really doing it to lose weight any more, just for the energy and cognitive benefits, so I still consume about 3000 calories a day but I'm up at 4am every day and straight in the gym for 45 mins, and I usually fast between about 6pm and 11am now so while the overall consumption hasn't dropped much, the schedule / regularity has definitely changed. You wouldn't have caught me missing breakfast before!
It wasn't that hard for me to commit to tbh as I love all the food that goes along with the diet. Swapping the bread for more cheese doesn't seem like that much of a sacrifice to me!
I think you do have to understand what it is and how it works though, i.e. how long it takes to fully adapt and the difference between good and bad fats etc. Some people seem to think keto is deep-frying everything in vegetable oil all week and then getting back on the pizza on the weekend as a treat!
-
Great to hear that it works so well for you. Also good to hear a sensible voice. I have heard so many people say we should all do this diet or that diet. Bottom line is, as you say, that each person has to find the thing that works for them. The more extreme the 'diet' or 'system' the fewer people it will suit.
Have you found that your food bills have gone down at all?
Odd question but in my experience the people whom keto worked for long term found they were consuming a lower quantity or lower volume of food as the things they were eating were much higher in calories. -
I know the conversation's moved on but I missed this earlier - I've been keto for a few years now and it's hands down the best change I've ever made in my life. Literally would never have thought my diet could have so much impact, stupid as that sounds.
My energy levels went through the roof and no more sugar highs and crashes.
It's definitely not for everyone - my wife doesn't get anywhere near the same benefits. Perfect for me though.
My only complaint is my wedding ring doesn't fit any more and I now feel the cold

If you like your Sci-Fi I highly recommend ‘The Expanse’. Series 5 dropping in December
Another one already on my to watch list haha
It’s so good. I’m actually putting off reading the books so I don’t spoil it which is most unlike me.
This is a great show. Season 3 best but 4 was not bad and feels like it is setting up for something big in 5!
Also am I the only one that finds Drummer intoxicating. She would kick my ass embarrass me in front of the crew and I would fecking love every second of it
