I watched 'The Trial Of The Chicago Seven' over the weekend on netflix. Really good. I love courtroom dramas, a lot of historical significance and first serious work I've seen of Sacha Baron Cohen who was excellent and still managed to be funny even in this!

@john-folan On my list this one

Just seen Ghostbusters Afterlife. Very Nostalgic. Loved it.
-
@john-folan Ahahah same!

Watched Ad Astra last night with the Mrs. We really wanted to like it. Lovely pacing to the film, lovely visuals, acting was good... just nothing really there in terms of storyline, nothing to get you emotionally invested.
We knew going in it was a take on the 1899 'Heart of Darkness' but ultimately this has been done better with other films.

@matt-wood not far away at all.

@john-folan Mrs and I watched that while we were away last week. VERY late to the party with that but damn what a beautifully made film that is.
Is it true to the book?

Just watched Cloud Atlas for the 50th time. Do yourselves a favour and watch it. Or better yet read the book. Stunning.

First three episode of The Wheel of Time are up on Amazon. I hope they don't screw this up.
I watched the trailer and noticed a change, fairly major, already fingers crossed there is nothing else

@john-folan Need to watch that!

@richard-latimer I like both but find it easier to get into the US stuff, probably more susceptible to the over the top advertising that makes them seem better!
I like the glossy big budgets and A-list cast that make it feel more like a series of small films haha!
That said, you can't beat some of the Danish or Swedish stuff. Borgen was brilliant. The Killing, The Bridge.
