Netflix/Amazon/Gaming and Book Recommendations

I signed up to the turkish PSN from one of the tutorials/links on hotukdeals. ended up costing £20 for the whole year for the top tier membership (you don't get the streaming ps3 games in turkey though). Once you've got a turkish account and DL'd a game to your machine you can play it on your UK PSN account.
Some absolute bargains on there, the games are way cheaper. Picked up Sekiro for a tenner the other day, it's twice that on the UK one. Brand new releases like Horizon and Elden Ring are only £30. Well worth a look!

@john-folan cracker!
-
@john-folan yeah it puts you off ever paying full price for a game doesn't it!
-
@martin Joshua has Gamepass it saves me a fortune. Ive got addicted to Prison Architect on the ps5 the last couple of days. Such a stupid fun little game. It’s bad isn’t it? Gamers are almost as moany as Star Wars fans and that’s saying something lol
-
@john-folan I've got Gamepass on Series S and love it but I don't get to play much, luckily it's only ever £1 a month. I agree about people moaning in gaming it's crazy, feel for developers they must get sick to death of it!
-
Anyone got the new PlayStation Plus tiers? I’ve taken the extra as I won’t play the old stuff anyway. Actually pleasantly surprised by the stuff on there. Some absolute quality games. Despite all the bitching and moaning on social media. Can’t please anyone these days.

@dr-steve-buckwell some good films there. I like Alien as well. Just prefer Aliens for some reason. Ripley alongside Sarah Connor is one of the strongest female characters going. Back before it was a ‘thing’ and before the powers that be decided the best way to have a strong female character was to belittle men. True equality. 1917 is genius as well. Never watched Pans Labyrinth so have added that to the must watch list.
-
@john-folan Pans Labyrinth. Del Toros best work by a country mile and about the only foreign language film I can repeatedly watch (apart from das boot natch). Kill Bill if you like some quarantino type fun and Catch 22 if you loved the book. Limehouse Golem was scary fun with a great ending. 1917 if you like that sort of thing but spare me from any Marvel superhero garbage. Could go on and on but best stop there. Dark Star was and is the funniest sci fi spoof ever if you havent seen it check it out...Alien for that scene and Gravity for the bit where the heroine takes her suit off. I do rabbit on a bit..

@richard-latimer good point. Amended

Do you not think End Game needs to be seen with Infinity Wars @John-Folan?
-
My (new) top ten film list. No particular order. A couple of trilogies in there that need to be seen as one movie really.
Star Wars Original Trilogy
Aliens
Terminator
Elvis the Movie(2022)
The Matrix
Pulp Fiction
Superman(Christopher Reeve)
Avengers Infinity Wars/End Game
The Godfather Trilogy
Cloud AtlasPretty happy with that lot. Jaws nearly made the list as well.

@dan-mackinnon it was just there. A bit too much of Tom Hanks character, but I’m guessing that was the point. The music is on point as you would expect.
