@john-folan Yes hopefully the Obi series will be in the same spirit as that could be fantastic. Hayden Christensen is rumored to be coming back to play Anakin. Thought he did it really well in the prequels.
I have seen a lot of behind the scenes reports of bickering on the Mandalorian. The lead actor, Pascal, crying about not have his face on screen (surely he knew what he signed up for) and wanting Gina Carano sacked as she differs in political opinion.
I am relieved to see people on here saying the show is good though
-
@john-folan Agreed! It also blends in nicely to the spin off series, it does seem more thought has gone into the series than the films.
Bar Rogue One as that was mega.
-
Speaking of the Mandalorian. OMFG!!!!!! The last four episodes are just, well they are just Star Wars at its absolute finest.
Makes me angry about what the sequels could have been, but if they keep this up I will forgive them.

@john-folan Saw they were out last night, waiting until the whole season is there as I will want to binge it all in one go more or less. Great show!
Good job because I just finished episode three and the ending is βdammmmmn!!β
Hahaha thats why I always wait. Not starting the Mandalorian until season 2 is all online

The first three episodes of The Expanse series 5 are on Amazon. I cannot recommend this series highly enough. The books, if you like a read, are next level. The TV series is not far behind. Watch it!!!

I guess you have probably seen this, but in case you have not, check it out.If only Disney could put this much emotion passion and feeling into the crap that they trotted out and stuck a Star Wars label on.
Loads of new content coming out. Hopefully itβs the same quality as The Mandalorian. They may have learned their lesson. Looking forward to Kenobi and Ashoka

On the last book of Wheel of Time now, great series, lost its way a little around book 9-12, but Mr Jordan was probably very ill then.
I need to get into some sci-fi a bit more, Hamilton has written loads right? I have read the trilogy that started with Mindstar Rising and enjoyed that. Picked up Pandoras Star for 99p a while back but not started it yet.
Some others I enjoyed:
The lies of Locke Lamora
Series by Larry Correia, Something like Hard Magic or Spellbound
The Steel Remains
Brandon Sandersons Mistborn Trilogy was good too.Yeah I think he was, that was such a shame that as he was a fantastic author Sanderson finished it well though.
Hamilton is brilliant. The Commonwealth Saga is a great series and my favourite was the Night's Dawn Trilogy.
I liked the Lies of Loch Lamorra. I'll have a look at the others you have mentioned.
Some of my other favourites are:
Raymond Feist - Magician. Start of the Riftwar Saga. The first three books he wrote were the best. That one is epic beyond scale.
Jim Butcher - The Dresden Files. On book 17 now. A Wizard who is a private eye. It's developed into something else now. I love them. The tv series they tried to do of this was terrible and should be ignored.Think Pandoras Star will be my next tbr then
I read loads of Mr Feist when I was younger. Riftwar saga is fantastic. Loved a lot of his stand alone books too.
I will have to check out the Jim Butcher stuff. I need to expand away from just fantasyI do a bit of sci fi and a bit of fantasy. I always say people like what they like and no one else should tell them they are wrong to be like that!

Also The Expanse is just epic.
The books better than the tv show, if so then Im on those for sure!
Good youtube channel (although he contains spoilers) 'Media Death Cult' reviews loads of books, mostly sci-fi
The books are and the TV show is pretty epic. Very easy read. Have to say I am very impressed with how the show follows the books.
Added to my subscriptions, thank you.
